27/3/2017 08:45 | The problem I see with any take over of William Hills is that the share holders want to higher price for their shares. | loganair
26/3/2017 21:01 | Chart looks tantalisingly close to a breakout. | nurdin
26/3/2017 19:21 | For me, it is now all about performance. GVC has the critical mass to grow very quickly. ?2800 employees. One of the reasons I bought Gvc all those years ago was because of Kennys' performance at SBT, prior to him taking over Gvc. He now has the foundation for global 'domination' !! | timanglin
26/3/2017 18:59 | Indeed to much of the above.Imo 888 out perform with good management. They are no wounded animal.Hills are seriously wounded imo. Means good profits if it can be saved but risks also. Festario pointed out some good ones on leases, pensions etc.We shall see | trentendboy
26/3/2017 18:40 | wh Yes I too agree, he has now proved he is very capable. He has also shown interest in WMH so that could be his move, at a reduced price. KA has worked closely with them before on the sbt deal. We shall see. | srpactive
26/3/2017 12:22 | Agreed, Kenny knows best and he won't miss a good opportunity. | coxsmn
26/3/2017 09:18 | Clearly Kenny and the management at GVC are exceedingly astute. If they were of the opinion that there was value to be had in any particular acquisition then, in view of their track record, I would be inclined to accept their judgement rather than the (possibly less well-informed) views of anonymous posters in a forum. Personally, I would agree with several here regarding the perceived redundancy of bricks and mortar... but I would not claim to have a fraction of the expertise available to GVC's management. They may have identified unexploited value where others have not. | woodhawk
26/3/2017 09:13 | 888 has no sports book. What they do have is good branding.I think Kenny has identified huge organic growth opportunities still to be realised through the existing acquisition of bpty.GVC has better profit margins and could put the squeeze on its competitors with its existing business model.Kenny won't over pay, if he can pick up a wounded soldier on the cheap and use his expertise to turn it around then this could deliver more profits not just increase revenues. | coxsmn
26/3/2017 08:46 | Okay, let it be 888 then. | srpactive
25/3/2017 21:04 | Not WMH please!!It's not just the shops with an average of 10 years on leases, it's the staff liability, pension schemes, redundancy entitlements etc..etc... stay away! | festario
25/3/2017 20:58 | I would prefer 888, but I feel wmh online only gvc, private equity the rest could come in at a lower pe than 888, dyor. | srpactive
25/3/2017 15:51 | I would say 888 is a better fit for GVC, ( I hold both but 10times more of GVC). I have been adding to my GVC haul ever since the last divi payment, looking forward to my next divi payment, from both 888 and GVC. | shayadfn
25/3/2017 11:59 | Got William hills written all over it | trentendboy
25/3/2017 11:50 | speedsgh Taken from your recent posting: 'Mr Alexander confirmed that he would consider buying a company with a retail unit — “it would not put us off if the numbers stacked up' Not sure I like the sound of that, considering all the issues surrounding retail gaming, especially the move away from shops to online that continues apace, and a major reason for GVC's stellar growth. | mylands
24/3/2017 18:44 | Interesting article in the Daily Telegraph,https://ww | coxsmn
24/3/2017 18:24 | Does anyone really want Amaya or anyone else to take over GVC and end the gravy train here? | cheshiremoggie
24/3/2017 17:18 | Horrible history in Amaya. Just check out the stuff that was published about them at the time when Hills ran the rule over them and then the biggest Hills shareholder went public on their opposition to such a move. They dont have the balance sheet to make a move on GVC IMO. I think the new management need to prove themselves before they could raise the kind of cash that they would need to buy GVC. | brownie69
24/3/2017 16:50 | Not sure many want to be prey but Anaya are the real big boys in the hood | trentendboy
24/3/2017 15:33 | Not sure being the prey is on Kenny Alexander's agenda just yet. Maybe once GVC sits snuggly within the FTSE100. | speedsgh
24/3/2017 14:22 | Remember these guys - good recent results I suspect this explains 888 move (and William Hill move) but remember we tried to get into bed with them for BWIN. If they take out GVC they get it on a plate and nice and shiney | trentendboy
24/3/2017 14:21 | Henley Thanks for the info. | mylands
