Why would they be paying a dividend if they needed to claw it back via a placing? It doesn't make any sense. Maybe Broadford has not noticed the divi payment.

PEEL HUNT TELLING IT LIKE IT IS:We can think of NO OTHER UK-listed E&P set to deliver such low-risk, fully-funded organic production growth over the next two years that is SIMILARLY AS UNDERVALUED. Gulf Keystone currently STANDS APART FROM ALL OTHERS and is differentiated on the basis of its balance sheet strength, visibility on near-term production growth and significant total return potential.X

More PEEL HUNT Capital Markets Day sets the scene Last week Gulf Keystone hosted a CMD ....Our key TAKEAWAY was the confidence with which the message, "Gulf Keystone is FULLY-FUNDED for the entire development," .... leaving it PATENTLY CLEAR that there is NO ADDITIONAL EXTERNAL CAPITAL REQUIREMENT.

stockport,

POO has had a good run recently and, notwithstanding Libya and Iran, it's unclear if this can continue.

Any hiatus in the rising POO curve, especially if it lasts for a few months, puts a question mark against your estimate of a $100M placing. I would put it considerably higher to give me some buffer against other, more technical, challenges.

More PEEL HUNT Capital Markets Day sets the scene Last week Gulf Keystone hosted a CMD ....Our key TAKEAWAY was the confidence with which the message, "Gulf Keystone is FULLY-FUNDED for the entire development," was delivered. Details around a low-cost (LoF opex/capex of $3/bbl and $2.5/bbl), low-geological risk, phased development plan were clearly articulated, leaving it PATENTLY CLEAR that there is NO ADDITIONAL EXTERNAL CAPITAL REQUIREMENT.

With the two prong dividend it looks like they are looking to lock mug punters in, probably for a 100m placing.

Here's an interesting article in the light of Trump trying to force China into a new trade deal. If they secure alternative supplies of oil instead of US supplies that would be one more reason to rebuff Trump. Intriguing innit?
