As for some of the bondholders also shorting, well isn't that what hedging is all about?

-------------------

I thought that was about getting placings through to either cover existing shorts or get more ammo to short more.

Remember the 32(?)p placing? A classic, imo.

how can we invest in shaikan this year ie 88 million when they krg owe us all this money?

how can we pay the bonds back without giving the company away?

when are the bod going to buy some shares?

Arguably the Bond holders are in a precarious position like us. If Hawrami busts us he can just take the licence and the BH's don't get their loans repaid. All the time the BH's work with us they earn a decent yearly interest which suits. Assuming of course that the KRG who own bonds don't pull the plug.

The source isn't clear, Olieslim, so I'm filing it under 'rumour' for the time being. The article suggests bondholders are just starting to organise themselves. I'd say they've been organised, represented by a committee, since the BER issue, perhaps even before that.

As for some of the bondholders also shorting, well isn't that what hedging is all about?
