goldnugget: For the PE to come down doesn't the share price have to remain stagnant against rising earnings?

amt: All very well but on closer inspection there has been a dramatic slowdown in growth of Clarretti from 200% to only 45% which on such low revenue is peanuts. The worst part is the cash being consumed. I am selling into hopefully strength in share price

jadeticl3: I have a big stake in GSK. These shares have moved up significantly since the Brexit vote. The story is that much of GSK's revenue comes from abroad and when this is brought back into UK, with the GBP so low compared with dollar etc., it now translates to significantly higher numbers. This appears to be well accepted so share price has move from £12-60 )ish) to £16-50 (ish) in this short space of time, and analysts are forecasting it to go higher. I ask myself, is not the same true of GHT? Does this company not also earn much of its revenues abroad? Is what is true of GSK also true of GHT? So why has the share price of GHT not moved upwards? Can someone see what is different between these 2 companies such that one has moved up rapidly and the other not at all? What am I not seeing?

schytalk: Agree that is a really positive move, in theory it underlines the case for significant business improvement and contract wins in the not too distant future. Mind you we are well into June and no sign yet of the expected major new sale. Still I think this underlines the fact that the management have confidence that is not reflected in the share price.

jadeticl3: The euphoria has departed from this company's investors. The actual numbers are better than they have ever been, with the company reporting confidently but not extravagantly, and the market generally moving upwards. So why has the share price stalled at a level well below its highest level? Probably the previous optimism was overdone, not recognising the issues richjp highlights, and now reluctant to give management the benefit of doubt. The attitude now appears to be "demonstrate to me with hard numbers and I will pay a fair price for your shares, but no more gambling on high hopes and optimistic expectations". So, as schytalk says, the wait goes on. Way back when I first bought some GHT at 33p I would have done better to buy ASOS at 5p!!!

jadeticl3: The last two company announcements have told us (together with many other things) that 11 new contracts were won in 2015 as a whole, and 6 of these came in the final 6 months. So, contract wins worth mentioning at the rate of one per month. Nothing has been said about the first 2 months so far and the share price has fallen slowly over this period. I note richjp's comments that contract wins to date should be delivering revenue, and that the new management are more cautious about announcing contract wins, but I feel that the results (due soon) will need to convey that increased revenues are being delivered, and that new contracts are being won if this share price fall from 110 to 96 is to be reversed. This company is not my largest holding, but it is important to me, and I have had a soft spot for it for so long that it would hurt me emotionally to see it fail. I remain hopeful, and, as always, expect the next set of results to confirm my faith in this company!!

jadeticl3: Update is not upbeat enough, it seems, to raise the share price. It is ok but not exciting. The achievements are as expected but the language used in the expectations for 2016 is conservative. What does surprise me is that we appear to be back on track, ie where we hoped to be before the warning that 3 (?) contracts would not be signed on time. The share price tumbled but has not recovered even now when we appear to have recovered as a business. Maybe tomorrow, when time has allowed folk to properly consider, the share price will respond, but up 0.5p is poor.

jadeticl3: Just had a look back to January 2015 Trading Statement. It was issued January 27th and was very upbeat. It spoke of a strong order book for 2015 and beyond, and of a list of Contract Wins. I presume that those contract wins have helped 2015 revenues and cash flows so expect Trading Update this month to be positive. I had expected the share price to be at 120p at year end so was a little disappointed on that front, consequently I am depending on the Trading Update to boost the share price. The fall of 1.5p today has not lifted my spirits!

schytalk: Despite the volume the share price has not really moved today and suspect the two 100,000 orders were already in the system with an 85p trigger price. Well done amt for getting another 20k, generally Gresham shares are a thin market with so much of the stock locked up with the big players, plus of course it is generally a quiet time between Christmas and the New Year. I would expect the share price to move significantly in January especially as I am hopeful of another CTC win, I suspect that richjp can enlighten us more. jadetecl3 agree with you the share price movement has been somewhat excessive and of course someone always makes money out of large share price movements. I think the board felt obliged to issue the profits warning, which I am sure would have been driven by the non execs, due to the slow pace of CTC signings. Yes the share price price fall has been overdone and I am sure some people (perhaps in the know) have made a tidy profit by it. That said, it is a wake up call to the Gresham executive management (who I have little faith in) to start delivering, so I think overall it is a good thing. The concern that I have is that with the share price at this level Gresham is clearly a take over target. Onwards and upwards.
