16/1/2007 14:15 | Very few shares available as 60% held by nominees/gooch family. Excellent results and prospects. Looking at £5 medium term imho | jaspoland
16/1/2007 12:59 | Has anyone any ideas on why the share price has risen today? I'm not complaining but just wondering why as a large (for me) holder since Sept '02 when first bought at 71.25p and now it's a large chunk of my portfolio. W. | walthera
23/12/2006 10:31 | Garth, Hope your right. Shame we missed out on press coverage of the latest results but maybe we will see Gooch appear in the new year tips. Mangal, I believe Gooch appears to fly under the radar which is a shame. But with very few shares any sudden interest and we will fly. Good luck to all and best wishes for christmas and a peaceful new year | jaspoland
23/12/2006 08:13 | Looking very nicely set at £4 Perhaps we will revisit 2000 heights again yet! :0) | garth
22/12/2006 16:46 | sp is about to breakout & no interest? Strange! | mangal
29/11/2006 08:02 | Although the results are ahead of expectations there are warning signs. Results obtained in favourable market conditions. They are not yet in the new factory which they hoped to be last month. This is not expected to happen till end next year. Up go costs and the old factory inefficencies continue. Flat profits next year at best. | wahlenm

19/5/2006 17:36 | The usual volatility on low volume. That was a good opportunity this week. | f880gna
18/5/2006 10:12 | Use the dips to add to your holding. Yesterday there was an ideal opportunity (that I used) as this one is going to reach new highs. Awaiting with interest next month's interims. PS Long term hold and add since 2002 when I first bought at 71p. | walthera

17/5/2006 22:01 | What's going on with the share price? | jbu123
11/5/2006 12:37 | Tuning Peg: The family stake in March was reduced to 30.8% from 40.8% and there have afaia been no further reductions in their stake. Where did you get your 10+1 % from? Regards, W. | walthera
09/5/2006 18:04 | It might do, but in the medium term will result in welcome greater liquidity. | f880gna
09/5/2006 16:41 | If that was true then the announcement would have said that, ie taking early retirement after sterling service for the co etc. However it was quite a terse announcement with no more explanation than was necessary, so for that reason I think he's been sacked. It does beg the question what will now happen to the Gooch / Virgin Discretionary Trust which holds 10% of the company plus the 1% that Andrew Virgin holds. If this was dumped into the market then this may dilute the share price in the short term | tuning peg
08/5/2006 13:21 | Looks like marketing director has just been sacked. He was part of the old school - in fact I think he was related to the founding Gooch family. Good sign that Jones is having a clear out, regardless of their standing in the company. He does own 175k shares however so he may want to cut and run - could be this will provide some short term weakness? | tuning peg
08/5/2006 13:18 | Thanks for info. do you work for them? | jbu123
08/5/2006 12:38 | Quality company. 1/2 year results out next month. Buying ahead of expected good results. Not many shares available as they are tightly held so does not take much action for them to move. IMHO | jaspoland
08/5/2006 12:32 | Hi Does anyone know why the shares are rising? | jbu123
11/2/2006 15:18 | Yes, I have had 2 phone calls a week apart, the last one was yesterday afternoon. I first bought GHH on 27th Jan 2000 and sold 1st June 2000. I didn't own any from then, but I guess they picked me up from an old list. It was a non english lady ringing from London, so she told me, she couldn't pronounce the company name which she spelled out to be Kavanaugh, based here and New York. She said GHH is an excellent company, but I ought to sell the shares this year and buy them back next year, she went on to say that they were recommending a small company in the Oil sector, and did I have any idea's. I told here EEN and she promised to investigate them and ring me back, which she did yesterday. But she was trying to get me interested in a company called Mobile Extreme Oil, but surprise, surprise I can't find it. I must admit I had fun listening to her and a mate said I should get a premium line installed. | redbraces
10/2/2006 21:22 | crisium - What you say makes sense. A list of shareholders who bought in 2000 when the price was high could be fertile ground for these people. I have not received a call but then I am ex directory. | wahlenm
09/2/2006 23:38 | Wanhelm - it was clearly some sort of scam but they only seemed interested in creating uncertainty about DAG, nothing else was mentioned, nothing by post. I wasn't that receptive of course so may not have had the full speil. I've not been on the register in my own name for quite a few years so they were using an old list by the way. | crisium
09/2/2006 06:32 | f880gna, Missed that announcement! Looks like they are doing excactly what they said they would - and positioning themselves further up the value chain..... G. | garth |
