And back up again! They(MMs) did not have enough shares. That's why it was marked up on news! Do not sell electronically That's why some shareholders got caught out and lost.

The next news here is the court case...Anyone else see it drifting down for a while or is there a compelling reason to buy?

However there is nothing new that I'm aware of that explains the sudden interest in trading shares. Why are people here buying all of a sudden? (I think I understand the selling as the price has improved a lot)

I would not be surprised if this turned out to be a 10m oz underground mine. Its just the 'in between then and now' is hard to get your head around. There is of course the 100k oz near surface oxide that might help sweeten the pill a bit.

There seems to be a very high trading level here over the last few days. Can anyone give any kind of explanation for this? The trading started before the RNS and seems to be continuing in a way not connected to the news today.

There's no more news from GRL in the near future except being sued by the ex-director so it will drift down I guess

Cannot get too excited about these grades, just compare them with MARL's. This will require quite a lot of capex.

I don't know how you arrive at that net value/oz xcap but I think given the costs of starting up a mining/processing operation any profit on the current oxide resource would be insufficient for a partner to take on the risk.If they can get a deal with Obuasi on use of their processing facilities then there may be some scope for a self-funded mine but I see such a deal as very difficult to realise in the near future given the current uncertainty over Obuasi itself.

Bodes very well for long term development with potential future resource in the millions oz, a bit like GIANT OBUASI mine next door.

It's a long-term hold for me.

Even the oxide resource should be valued at least $30/40 per oz giving a value of around £20m in ground

You may be right HG. But IMO the grades illustrated were not that great for sulphide ore (at depth). They will need PoG above $1500 to justify such a resource. The value is still unfortunately just in the much smaller residual oxide resource.

MMs are marking it up. One marvels at the logic!Looks to me like city boys are scratching each other's backs here. Mark my words: large placing imminent (forward sold against anyone buying in at these prices).

Some rather strange posts on what are good results with reasonable grades for considerable depth. The oxide and sulphide will be blended to provide an ultimate overall resource and mine plan. What were people expecting ; 100g /tonne from 5m?
These are good results that bode well for a substantial increase in JORC resource in the coming months ( to 1 million +).
Compare this with GGP where the market was excited by minuscule grades for a new discovery , these results will add to an existing 600,000 oz JORC.
£2 million market cap; too cheap.
