The last statement means little. But the prospects for 2008 results look exceptionally good in a difficult market, as the delayed contracts will appear in 2008. But its along time till 2008 results. Agree, downturn will be quite shortlived frm here.

Pick some up after the profits warning has been takein on board.

Sounds good to me!
'The industrial machinery auctioneer said the shortfall in revenues is due to
a delay in three deals that have slipped into the new year.
However, the company said it expects its full-year pretax profit before
exceptional items and share-based payments to be more than double the previous
year.'

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - GoIndustry PLC said it expects its 2007
full-year profits to come in below market expectations as it has not been able
to make up for the previously reported shortfall in revenues it had in the first
quarter.
The company also announced the appointment of Neville Davis as deputy
chairman with effect from Jan 7. Davis will assume the role of chairman when
David Bailey retires at the company's 2008 AGM, GoIndustry said.
The industrial machinery auctioneer said the shortfall in revenues is due to
a delay in three deals that have slipped into the new year.
However, the company said it expects its full-year pretax profit before
exceptional items and share-based payments to be more than double the previous
year.
It added the trading in the second half has been particularly strong in
North America on improved traction within certain key accounts and a noticeable
increase in the levels of insolvencies in the US.
GoIndustry said it is confident of significantly better results in 2008 and
has a strong pipeline of business for the first quarter of this financial year.

Oh dear

Full year 'profit Warning'

- well this will certainly be one for 2008-9: especially if not yet holding.

On watch list only here.

Still on my watchlist also. Bid moved up today but offer still static. Reckon this rally could run out of legs soon, then again WTFDIK.

Still drifting down and the share price is now below the IPO price in April 2005. It is also 34% below the 17p placing in April 2007.

Company effectively broke-even in H1 and expects to be profitable in H2 (according to the CEO Interim statement). Net cash position of over £6m at the end of June this year so they remain insulated from the credit crumch fallout. Current market cap of £29.3m just above H1 NAV of £28.1m.

Not tempted to jump in just yet but still on my Watchlist for 2008.

It is a long term buy with potential, particularly as western economies slow down and factories close and capital equipment(bargain second-hand ) is in demand in Asia.

The price fell last week because Red Hot Penny Shares December edition advised selling last week (" the share price has not really taken off since I tippped them last year--its time to sell "

this is on the 'shares to double list', from December 06. But I didnt buy - phew
- but I find this an interesting field of business having once worked for an Auction house .
On close watch again.

BB, they do indeed seem to drift, but I'd not be surprised to see 11p before 20p. Chart looks pretty poor IMO.

GOI has a habit of drifting and then spiking up. Interesting to see if we can break 20p again.

Expectation is of 0.4p EPS this year, and 0.8p EPS 2008.

Means its on quite a high PER ratio, so a lot of hope built in the price already.

How does that effect GOI?

Not quite the same but tangentally interesting nevertheless !

MFG.com: Disruption: An online exchange for the manufacturing industry
Disrupted: Manufacturers' reps, parts brokers, and trading houses

MFG.com is rapidly becoming the eBay of manufacturing. In the past 12 months, $2 billion worth of gears, molds and machined parts were sourced and traded on the site. To participate, sellers pay an annual fee of $6,000 on average, and buyers pay nothing. Buyers describe the part they want and submit digital renderings, and industrial suppliers bid for the business. The site is on track to make $25 million in revenue, and book its first profit, this year.

Corac, I have my eye on.Been watching it since the Summer

Difficult to say with GOI, how soon. I would be willing to dip my toe in next week and see how things pan out. Second Half promises quite a lot so I would be willing to go with it and see how things look RNS wise by Christmas.

Hi Simon,

This looks like a good share but may take a while or do you think things will move quickly?

I like BRR and Corac too

There appears to be quite a lot of hope value here but I reckon it could be worth an early look for newbies here and a case of adding if a series of positive company RNS announcements follow over the next three months say. I would be willing to have a few next week.
