Is there any way of finding out who is selling these quantities of shares?

Yes, but going into treasury and not being cancelled. Thus the company believes that the shares are currently cheap and they will make a profit when they are re-issued. What do they know that we don't?

Interesting that nobody has mentioned the possible tie-up between Avanti and Facebook, which has doubled the Avanti share price over the past few weeks. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/mediatechnologyandtelecoms/telecoms/11232599/Facebook-in-talks-with-Avanti-over-Africa-deal.html From memory, GIGL is a supplier to Avanti and to their suppliers, so a possible share price increase from this news.

Thanks, astille and battlebus. I was going to try to follow up with the CFO if no one else did. The feedback seems reassuring. Needless to say, I'd be keen to get hold of research notes if anyone can help?

Thank you astillie, just had an email back from Matt and very prompt it was too. I asked about the sentence discussed above and it seems nothing to be concerned about, anyone have a copy of the Finncap note? Thank you for your E-Mail. As you will know, the company cannot give any forward looking statements regarding our trading so investors should not read anything into this statement. However, we are aware of research from Mirabaud and finnCap in UK and we are comfortable with their opinions. Yours sincerely, Matt Garner

Well got this from TDW,,,,,,,,,not very pleased with it Thank you for your e-mail dated 27th August regarding trading Global Invacom (GINV) shares on the London Market. I understand from your complaint that you are dissatisfied that our system doesn't recognise the stock symbol of GINV. I apologise for the fact that you are experiencing issues in trading this stock. However, having raised the issue with our Trade Management Team, they have advised that the primary listing for this stock is the Singapore Market (under stock symbol QS9) and this is the only Market that we would offer to trade the stock. This is the Market that has the most trading liquidity in this stock whereas the London listing is much less liquid. You mention that other brokers offer trading in GINV (London), I can only assume that this is the case because they don't offer Singapore as one of their trading Markets. I trust that the above explanation clarifies the situation for you but if you have any further issues, please do not hesitate to contact me by responding to this e-mail or by calling our Contact Centre on 0845 6076001 and asking to speak to myself on extension 14043. Yours sincerely, Brij Khuttan Complaints Team

FWIW, exactly the same sentence stuck out for me like a sore thumb. I concluded that it was either badly or incorrectly phrased. The 2014 forecast is for £6.18m profit. Surely,if the Board thought there was a possibility that profits could come in (say) at only just above break-even: a profit warning would be in order? The whole tone of the Interims, and what was achieved in the First Half, was very positive, so I cannot see that being the case. I might be completely wrong of course. If anyone is sufficiently concerned it might be worth an email to the Company to clarify. That would be an interesting enough exercise in itself to see whether or not GINV is the type of Company that responds to private investor queries.

Funny you say that rp19 I read the same this morning and thought the same, surely these will be profitable and that shouldn't be in question unless there's something we don't know or maybe it's just simply bad wording, either way it was enough to cast a doubt that stopped me from buying a few, though reading saucepans forecast for 2015 there seems nothing to be concerned about. Could also be acquisitions to come.

Having a look over this one. Any views on the following statement from the recent interims: "Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Board of Directors expects the financial performance in FY2014 to remain profitable". Appreciate that statements can be taken different ways but it does not come across as particularly confident to me.

I have it on confidence from someone i know that he tried to deal using TD Waterhouse yesterday, but they havent as yet updated their system. A phone call should be enough to enable anyone to deal through them imvho. All new issues have to be inputted into the brokers systems before dealing, probably just a case of simply being over-looked i suspect.

janeann. I have been with Jarvis for a good few years and been very happy with them. The trading platform is a bit basic, would be my one criticism. They are very good/quick/helpful when answering the telephone if there is a problem making a trade - and such trades are always put through at online prices. I also have an account with Hargreves Lansdown. With the exception of the day of the Post Office IPO, when their systems crashed with too much traffic, I have been very impressed with them too.
