Glen only dropped because it deals in dollars and as the dollar has risen too high last five days it's affected the price of copper, hopefully dollar goes down next week, copper rises and so does Glen

S&P upgrade Glencore's debt by one notch to BBB/A-2, citing lower leverage and strong cash flow.

heliwell- quite a good move to 315 and then pullback and we might even see that big move today albeit unlikely !

kaz may have the percentage swings,
but glen looks the best long term bet,
the biggest Chinese inflation rise since 08
the finished products can stand a doubling of prices
this one for the kids pension,6quid within 3yrs
30%return yr, this is better than btl's
top up on the dips,
the Chinese (HK) caused the London docklands flats to rise 40% in 87
the Chinese have contributed to Auckland NZ price rises from 2001
then NZ$3.40 / £ to go from 150k to 700k present day, why?

Neck Stuck Out.
I wiil today predict a large percentage upswing in the share price
The chart indicates it is there.
MM's sent the share price down and now they will want a nice Friday upswing to double their profits whilst the mood of the churners is fresh.
Glencore does not react as it should to the 'good' news being given so it is just as likely to rise for no news.
The trend is upwards and we need to be back in £3.40+ region for the momentum to continue.
I was toying with selling all my stake last weekwith the plan to buy back lower.
Should have done it!
Next time no procrastination.
Glencore is certainly a share where loads of money can be made very easily.
Special dividend keeps me watching them closely now.

Bloomberg glen's cobalt will have it's day in the sun ?
should be "will have its decade in the sun"
as millions of electric cars will be built,
Chinese will remain biggest buyers, regardless of inflation figs,

I see chart support at about 245 and then to 200 but nothing usually goes down in a straight line . Does GLEN have a big exposure to copper as I rarely follow the fundamentals and just rely on charts ??

Gotta say I'm going other way on this and buying GLEN this morning. Far better to be contrarian than chase the shares like sheep up to 345p after the results

not really surprising, price of metals have dropped because China said their economy was only going to grow by 6.5% less than people expected.........

I think it's funny that 6.5% is seen as bad - bet lots of countries would love there economy to grow by that amount.......

THE WALL STREET JOURNALTrump wants to fast-track $1 trillion infrastructure planMar 8, 2017 at 6:29 p.m. ETBy Michael C. BenderConstruction sought ASAP, with minimal permittingPresident Trump wants the construction projects to be financed through public and private capital.WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump pushed his White House team on Wednesday to craft a plan for $1 trillion in infrastructure spending that would pressure states to streamline local permitting, favor renovation of existing roads and highways over new construction and prioritize projects that can quickly begin construction."We're not going to give the money to states unless they can prove that they can be ready, willing and able to start the project," Trump said at a private meeting with aides and executives that The Wall Street Journal was invited to observe. "We don't want to give them money if they're all tied up for seven years with state bureaucracy."Trump said he would was inclined to give states 90 days to start projects, and asked Scott Pruitt, the new head of the Environmental Protection Agency, to provide a recommendation. He expressed interest in building new high-speed railroads, inquired about the possibility of auctioning the broadcast spectrum to wireless carriers, and asked for more details about the Hyperloop, a project envisioned by Tesla founder Elon Musk that would rapidly transport passengers in pods through low-pressure tubes."America has always been a nation of great promise, because we dream big," Trump said. "We're going to really dream big now."An expanded version of this report appears on WSJ.
