I,ve been thinking, now I don,t do a lot of it, but the fact that mining shares have moved so much just recently after years of slumber seems a bit unsettling.

I cannot see what has changed so much with China to warrant the movement ?, all this seems to have occurred after we voted Brexit, and given the fact that Trump has vowed to put China on the back burner, and bring business back to the USA, wont that mean a slump in commodities over there as the country has always been the driver of prices ?, any views on this appreciated ?.

Russell - This is (will be) £3.50 before Christmas never mind next April.
Could even be £3.50 before the weekend, next week?
The Divi reinstatement was just the taster of what is now to come.!

This appears to be a great deal for Glencore. Eur 300mm equity commitment, non-recourse, for a significant stake & 220kbpd oil offtake for 5 years, and a deal with two key partners. Very shrewd; I would expect nothing less from the best in the business.
