16/2/2009 11:37 | FlyingSwan April should prove a good month for GLN purely because of the AGM . Interms hopefully should show how the company is progressing and this should have a + impact on the share price So its a matter of justing sitting-tight . I have held my block for almost 10 months. I was drawn to them by a chap in Middle-Wollop , Hampshire at a Army Mess Bash. He was quite ++++++ on them and said at the time that the company had significantly altered itself ( meaning selling off the loss-making 2/3rds of the company ) and should in time do well . As it stands i am doing reasonably well with the shares average is : 0.062/4p. Anything past 0.15p would be good indeed and the shares could do that and more on any half resonable information especially with regards to decreasing debt and cash flows. Anyway will just have to wait and see. Regards Vince . | vinny1066

13/2/2009 12:43 | All We never really know why people sell lines of stock at this level when the return , given the spread , is relatively small . Surely at these levels its a stock to at least best kept until it breaches 1/8p. As money is and can be tight i guess people sometimes need to sell just to get some money . Like most people in live i would have been thankful for £10 in my time . So i guess these sales reflect the persons financial status at a given time or maybe not . Yes there is some buying and hopefully our investments will bear fruit in late April/May. I think the company is not prone to spending on luxury items or life-styles. Don`t think it can afford to !!! Anyway lets just sit and wait. Regards Vince . | vinny1066
13/2/2009 11:05 | I have a few of these and added some yesterday. I note that they went through on Plus yesterday but can't say I'm particularly familiar with it. Do they use the same MM's as AIM for trades do not register on level 2? Also is there any other trading platform for these shares for I note your comment about lots more buying today FlyingSwan but can see no trades on level 2 and only 1 buy on Plus so wondered where you had seen more. Sorry for my ignorance but I have only previously dealt in shares which appear on Level 2 in what I see as the traditional manner? Thanks Gant | gantenbrink

12/2/2009 22:19 | I own 3 telecoms businesses and stand by my last comment about glen group, if they can cut out their luxury overheads and expensive staff they will return an excellent profit. my 3 comnpanies do and so can they. massively undervalued given the potential for someone to take this over and turn it around. If my businesses on average canm return 18% profit before tax and after dividend so can glen. Bound to rise, might be tempted to slowly build up a stake and take them over. | poppadom2
12/2/2009 21:25 | Yes, I think it shows where the sentiment is - in Techology Stocks, like Glen Group (GLN) Look at how the US Market closed: Dow Jo... 7932.76 -6.77 Nasdaq... 1242.81 +15.76 S&P 500.. 835.19 +1.45 The Nasdaq close up the highest of the three indicies. Good look for tomorrow I think the Bulls are back IMHO. | flyingswan

12/2/2009 10:10 | Hi dell. Hope you are well, you know how it is, if you can buy 1000 shares at £1 or 1 million at 0.1p what are the punters going to do, they still think it's the best option to buy decimal, thing is so many of them have shot up (then shot down) the usual suspects move from one to another. I dont hold Gln, thought about it but the spread was just too wide, it's a lot better than some of the decimal rubbish that gets pushed and it's a 50/50 play but if i put myself in the position of management and thought i can save the company 150k a year by not being listed then i think it could happen, there seems to be at least 3 companies a week doing this on Aim, Aim need to drop their prices otherwise they will lose far more. Not saying this will happen to Glen, at least they have no debt and cash so they have a fighting chance to turn things around with cost cutting etc etc. | 8trader
12/2/2009 09:43 | 8Trader - You're not actually holding this are you? It looks like it could just as easily run out of dosh, as make a go of it. Aren't there better odds around, away from the pump'n'dump muppets who appear to be pumping every fractional priced share for no other reason than the price begins with 0.0 pence? Many of the new investors that are jumping aboard all these pumps thinking news must be out there are going to be left with portfolios from hell, once MMs walk the stocks back down. I haven't seen anything this daft in a long while.... Rgds dell All IMHO, DYOR etc. | dell314
