27/6/2016 08:18 | If you want a 'safe haven' you should buy the metal to hold. If you are trying to make money in the gold sector then you need to buy gold-related investments when prices are low and sell them when they reach fair value. The choice of 'which' gold-related investments is a personal choice. So it's up to you! Chip | chipperfrd
27/6/2016 07:55 | A few buys this morning .. . .are people really looking at this as a safe haven in gold . .? | its a worry
09/6/2016 09:52 | RT, I fully agree. It is an issue that has been raised with the company - and will be again! In contrast to so many of the small-cap miners they are actually UNDER-promotional. It is frustrating but does provide lots of opportunities to buy dips and sell strength as the share price is subject to quite violent zig-zags. As that has meant a steady accumulation of free-carried shares I can hardly complain, but it would be good to see the share price finally get some positive momentum. Chip | chipperfrd
09/6/2016 09:10 | Chip They seem to have at times a somewhat opaque and unstructured reporting style, which is a shame as the underlying story looks to be first rate IMO. Decent PR and a regular clear set of management reporting to shareholders would I think help the share price despite the aversion to Kazahkstan by mainstream western investors. I have dipped my toe in the water here after having been out since the Hambledon days and am looking forward to their ramp up over the next few years. RT | roguetreader
08/6/2016 07:09 | They are being very conservative with their language in this reporting of the Kara licence. No mention of their internal scoping study which estimated c. 9moz a couple of years ago. I am somewhat confused by the work timescale being reported. A year ago they were saying this work was already underway. It is certainly good news - I just wish there was a bit more clarity regarding just how far they are actually along the road of assessing this ore field. Chip | chipperfrd

07/6/2016 14:23 | Tks chip. Seems to have a good bit of momentum currently, this one. | scottishfield

07/6/2016 11:03 | Up 75% in 3 weeks! Finally starting to get some interest in this stock. Long may it continue. | chipperfrd
07/6/2016 07:58 | Commodity sector on fire........... | chrisdgb
03/6/2016 16:28 | Chip, true but news re the Kara subsoil licence and CPR (first mentioned about two years ago) would be welcome in the meantime. | sandeels
03/6/2016 13:58 | GBGR fundamentals look really good but it will take time for the turnaround to become apparent through the operating and financial reporting. Yet more patience required I'm afraid! | chipperfrd
03/6/2016 12:58 | Gold up 2% after US data, bodes well for the pricing backdrop.. | chrisdgb
03/6/2016 06:52 | Great to see the cost savings and the commitment here. Let us hope as patient shareholders we finally get rewarded..!! | chrisdgb
01/6/2016 16:59 | Switching to share based remuneration is certainly a vote of confidence by senior mgt. $3.2m is some saving for the the current year as the run rate is only $4.5m per half year........so must be literally having a big clear out. | sloppyg
01/6/2016 14:39 | The target move from 2018 to 2019 for 100kozs had already been announced via the annual report. | michaeljxox
01/6/2016 13:36 | I think they have "on track" and delayed confused. | j4yjaybee
01/6/2016 08:46 | Full production 19, not 18, probably due to time needed for paste fill plant. Reduced costs in London?! Where's the Kara update? | sandeels
26/5/2016 14:39 | It'd be surprising if they stayed sub 2p when the 100k pa is confirmed, especially if the Kara sub soil licence is granted, due May 16. | sandeels
26/5/2016 14:27 | question then is where else is that the case? | dilbert dogbreadth
26/5/2016 12:32 | You actually raise an interesting point Jay in when is the best time to invest in the cycle. It strikes me that investing during the development phase means shareholders take on all the risk for no rewards whatsoever (actually losses !). May as well wait for the company to de-risk the asset, conduct the necessary capital raisings and then invest once near full scale production commences. GBGR is a casing example. I feel confident this one will come good but at this rate people will be picking them up sub 2p even once the 100k p.a oz run rate is actually established; a lower entry point than the majority of the early bird investors who took on all the risk..........live and learn ! | sloppyg
25/5/2016 22:57 | Ha Ha Ha 20p and 40,000 ozs from the open pit just around corner. Never got close, not even a third in 2015, 7 years on! I know for sure Chip we came in far too early not the other way round. | j4yjaybee
25/5/2016 17:12 | Also with a smaller resource and lower grades. | michaeljxox |
