well logically there is upside for the stock with any reasonable nickel price assumption, but this guy is under little corporate governance control and there are plenty of conflicts of interest, on the other hand RAB arent going to conpletely bend over either. i would have thought by june this stock will be materially higher and i would hold but i need to raise some money and this was the first candidate for that.

i dont know. basically the group couldnt raise $3.5bn for a HPAL plant by themselves and had to use this guy Palmer to pursue the chinese and Palmer is getting half of the marlborough deposit as a fee. i dont know if insinger were hoping for some corporate finance action on the financing but perhaps they werent going to get any and walked away.

well i only buy after a slump, this one i was mistaken with the initial purchase in may, but added as it fell. however as it turns out i added too soon. on the other hands the volumes on the way down were pretty low.

Good luck with it, I found it harder to ride successfully on RAB's tails in quoted situations, they've floated from private equity. Pleased I only switched modestly from FTSE 250 oils which have proved much better investment value/results.

I agree, the change at GPN is interesting and justifies following the company/share again. Just that there were high and confident hopes before, but now a major change in the board.

ed you buffoon. having to pay this guy 50% of marlborough is tough, but the laterite projects have a bad reputation. if this guy deliveres the stock should rise and ill get my profit, however by then ill have held the stock for about 9 months.

hopefully this will lead to some interest in the stock. this guy has such a big stake he should negotiate hard.

GLADSTONE PACIFIC NICKEL LIMITED (\'Gladstone\' or \'the Company\')
(ACN 104 261 887)

GLADSTONE TARGETS CHINAFOR GROWTH AND PROJECTDEVELOPEMENT

The new chairman of Gladstone Pacific Nickel Limited (\'Gladstone\') Professor
Clive Palmer is currently in China supported by the Managing Director of the
Company Mr John Downie and another executive of the Company, negotiating with
Chinese State owned companies the development of Gladstone\'s Nickel Project.

\'Gladstone is seeking to formalise a strategic relationship with state owned
companies for the development of Gladstone\'s Nickel Project\' Mr Palmer stated
and went on to say \'In essence Gladstone is seeking confirmation from Chinese
groups of the following:

1. a turn-key EPC contract for the construction of the Gladstone Nickel
Project with suitable Chinese construction groups,

2. access to Chinese project funding,

3. access to long term sales arrangements for the Gladstone\'s proposed
output of Nickel, and

4. possible participation by Chinese state owned companies in Gladstone share
capital.\'

Gladstone\'s Gavin Becker and John Downie have been involved in technical
presentations in meetings with Chinese companies during the current week. The
Gladstone team will return to Australia and begin reviewing the results of the
China initiative next week and will embark on positive planning for the Project
in 2008.

Barry whilst you're giving me a tip, here's one from me TMAN....really cheap and potentially sitting on around 3 billion barrels of oil....give it 6-12 months...for a very quicky, have a look at BOY....damn cheap and could be bought out at around £3.50.

Good luck.

That's what most people thought. But the technology and patents actually are very valuable! Just that GH tried to do too much in too little time without enough industry knowledge. The whole company has really been turned around by Richard Trevillion. Major deals about to be announced with gloabl pharmas for 2 or 3 blockbuster products over the next few weeks and months. Try and get some if you can Jules. I don't expect MDX will be around for much longer, expecting a take over by March for at least 300p. Mark my words on this one eh lol

TMC is doing rather well actually. Share price is a lot stabler now and if all goes well, a steady solid climb should ensue. GCM is incredibly high risk / high reward (more high risk than reward lol). But MDX, that will be stock of 2008. Keep an eye on it, it's my biggest holding by a long way :)
