1k NMS is a total con, MMs can do what they like, as per the 35k at 22p I guess! A few more over-market trades now, inc 11.3k at 24p when offer was 20p.

(Have to admit it's a prob with GPN - you can't buy when it's low, & likewise will prob be totally unable to sell when it hits a quid!).

i tried to buy in lots of 10k, 5k and 1k at 17p and all got refused a quote. Don't ya just love the MM's - basically can shut up shop unless your willing to take an open market price.

Does seem a bit odd; is 35x NMS I guess. Also GPN only valued at £11m; they've Oz$10m just in cash.

Could only get a quote to sell not to buy, but sticking with what I have already here; feels like the endgame's some way off on GPN.

why on earth would you want to pay 5p or almost 30% above the offer price, unless you knew something the market didn't? Also noticed Arbuthnot's chasing stock bidding at 16p - do they also know something?

Certainly getting interesting; 35k delayed trade at 22p reported, vs 16/17 quote.

Rumour has it, by virtue of a tenuous Queensland link that Clive Palmers group is the same entity as Daintree which has picked up 20% of TMC. Probably wide of the mark but from where will he source his ore when Yabulu is taken over?

Rickwak - Does seem very strange. From background reading, it looks like they may have an interest in New Caledonia but i find it hard to follow. first there was the announcement that the deal with the chinese was being shelved, few days later Dr.Palmer buys the Yabulu plant (it doesnt say for how much but BHP are looking to write down £675m off the deal!). It was only last year that GNP was going to be bought at £2.20 - I am assuming the bid was from within Clive Palmers wider group?? This might be an interesting time to be a GPN holder

what is the implication of the news that clive palmer - biggest shareholder in GPN has bought the Yabulu plant off BHP Billiton?. BBG have it as newsworthy iten. Do GPN have a the title to assets in New Caledonia? Please let me know if you do i have watched this stock double and halve over the last 4 months.

Pah wasn't here on Fri, looks like someone sold 15k at 5p (or poss 7p) under the bid and hammered it. 15,000 shares at 15p is £2,250!! Total madness, but it's so completely illiquid I guess the MMs have to tank it to generate buys.

I'm a long-term long; compared to eg TMC, GPN's on a fractional valuation. Yes, they'll need either money or a partner to go into production, but the approvals are now in place and miners are back in vogue. It might take a year or more, but GPN is a 10-bagger on finding a partner.

(If that sounds fanciful, it'd only take it back to last year's pre-approvals bid level).

Hoping for some press, this is still so far below recent highs, let alone 210p "bid" level from previously.

Some wally's paid 30p for 6k though; MMs still in reas size at 28p online.

(Edit - not that it's not going higher, just that I hate to see the MMs getting one over on anyone).

3,750 avail online atm, but not sure I'd buy on this spread. A few 10k buyers got in at 20 (still less than 10% of the recent "bid" price; depends if markets improve enough for HK float to be back on of course).

More buys; took advantage of size returning earlier to pick up a few more. Stupid spread now though.

Looks like can sell OK online; just not buy. Prob the usual MM trick - push up to a quid, then mysteriously start allowing online buys again.

Is the NMS rule that allows them to get away with it - 1k NMS is all they're obliged to deal, any higher than that & it's either a premium or an outright refusual. Am unconvinced £200's worth is a reasonable NMS for any share.

tis strange - three tiny trades today have pushed the "price" up 25%

Indeed; the most they'll sell you is £200's worth, and that at full offer. Ridiculous.

Been trying to buy more but MMs not selling. Agreed it's odd not zoomed yet but just seems to be totally forgotten. Yours is the first post that isn't mine for nearly a fortnight.

have a small holding here..very strange that it has not moved with the others. worries me a little however downside is 100% and upside is considerably more than that..

Moved up today on less than £1k of trades; so hard to buy any though, someone paid 18.5p for just 7,500 shares (£1.4k). But not many minnows out there yet to bounce..

Finally a couple of trades, MMs must be light after previous overhang cleared; up 2p on the bid on just 20k of buys.

Hard to look at the chart at the top of this thread and not think they've a LONG way to rise back up. Not sure it'll even need news, seeing almost every other minnow having dcb'd (eg TMC, also a Nickel play). My target's £1.50, considerably below the previous "bid", which isn't necessarily dead in the water if the HK float gets back on.
