thanks CH, yes indeed, although I think it may be some while given over supply before it does, but company seems to be progressing despite this so long-term hold

QS99,

When O&G eventually turns GTC should be one of the early beneficiaries as their products are used for (very) early stage exploration.

Some contract awards from the 13th April 2015 framework agreement would be most welcome.

Looks an interesting play, recent director buying, decent recent acquisition IMO and net cash on balance sheet....have tucked a few away, hope not kiss of death!

Maynard,

Idealing have got back to me, dividend cheque received and will be credited to my account on 20th May.

Daveb12,

No particular reason for the drop afaia, been on a decent run with the contract news and IC tips so perhaps a little profit taking.

Maynard,

My dividend is also missing (idealing) so it appears to be an issue across several brokers. Thanks for highlighting.

Anybody else missing their interim dividend? Should have been paid on 1 May.

No sign of mine via Youinvest.

Here is what the broker had to say:

"I can confirm that an Interim dividend was due on the 1st May 2015, however, I have just liaised with our Dividends Team who have confirmed that they are still awaiting the cheque payment from the registras. I have asked them to urgently chase this for you as it is now 10 days overdue. As soon as they have provided me with an update, I will getback to you.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us."

According to ST in the Chronic Investor

Analysts are holding fire on issuing any upgrades, but analyst Eric Burns at house broker WH Ireland notes that "assuming Getech receives its fair share of work under the agreement, there are clearly upward implications as the year progresses".

Currently 5.9p EPS for Year ending 07/15 and 6.9p EPS for 2016.

I read it as GTC are on a shortlist of 3 for several significant pieces of work per year over the next 3 years (extendable to 5).

So no it's not yet money in the bag but imo should be viewed in a positive light.

So is today's announcement just a framework contract which the NOC can allocate work to as and when they want to, or have GTC actually won some business here? It reads to me like the former which would make the title of the RNS rather misleading.

Thoughts welcome. All IMHO DYOR.

WH Ireland have upgraded forecasts after the acquisition of ERCL

Year to 7/15

Rev £9.3m, PTP £2.3m, EPS 5.9p

Year to 7/16

Rev £12m, PTP £3.0m, EPS 6.9p

Also recently tipped in the Investors Chronicle by both Simon Thomson 25/3 (buy at 49p with 67p target) and today by an Algy Hall Cheap Value screen.

Last year's H1 was quite poor so a better comparison is with last year's H2, which still show the figures in a good light.

Half yr results look good to me - increase in profit from 200K to 700K.
Nice acquisition also. Cash in bank is increasing as well.
All looking positive imo.

Looks like a sensible acquisition and they don't appear to have overpaid + good proportion is tied to profitability targets over next 3 years.

Not sure it is the right time for GTC. I maybe wrong but I don't think this company will do well in a low POO environment. I will wait a couple of years. Great thing about this company is it has tonnes of cash on the balance sheet and a really good product. Next trading update will be interesting.

Best

Decent chance of one in the coming days, there was in Feb 2011(inline),Jan 2013 (ahead), Feb 2014(profit warning). No 1st half update in 2012 though.

Ticking up though.........
