15/9/2006 11:39 | looks like the poor results last time combined with the lack of any offers from possible suitors is causing the price to fall back somewhat. Without any prospects of an offer the share might well be under 100. | tooredtobleed
01/9/2006 16:40 | nice little bounce today although the MM's marked the shares down a touch earlier- naughty! rns announcing they got their hands on the cash for the freehold sale, though that should have been priced in months ago | tooredtobleed
25/8/2006 16:47 | weird day today with a 0.25p spread at one point, could be due for another little upwards burst but who knows with this one. | tooredtobleed
17/8/2006 08:30 | kinda lost the faith at the moment, didn't like the increase in debt at the last results which seems likely to eat up all the freehold sales profits (are these taxable as CG BTW?). | tooredtobleed
16/8/2006 23:26 | £8m should give Georgica a bit of a fighting fund...this share should reach £2 in the medium term.. | the loan ranger
02/8/2006 13:41 | what do you think of this I found in a few chatrooms? any credit? NEWS MEDORO RESOURCES !! (MRL) Medoro is planning to commence a 15,000 meter diamond drilling program, at the La Cruz, La Sofia, and El Tapon prospects by the end of July 2006. | bellaclassaction
02/8/2006 13:40 | According to The Publican, Clive Preston, a non-exec director of Georgica, has taken on the position of non-exec chairman of Nexum Leisure ltd. | littlejohn62
01/8/2006 11:57 | Always a bad Q 2red and wither bidders hovering we will see rise rather than fall. | twirl
31/7/2006 15:55 | holding up very well considering the interims! | tooredtobleed
31/7/2006 08:02 | Classic, no trading update and interims left to the last possible moment equals lots of the use of the word decline and decrease - AND 15m increase in debt which will eat up all the freehold sale proceeds! Sell now, back in later! | tooredtobleed
28/7/2006 14:26 | Mickyash>> sympathies but better situation than to have lost 98% of value as I did around 2000!! Its what you think about where share price is headed in short or medium term that matters. | twirl
28/7/2006 13:56 | Usually have trading announcement at beginning of the month, too. Because of the huge amount of the bonds they issued in the past they are supposed to do quarterly trading statements but AIM rules are so lax they can otherwise issue them when they like. Any delay seems suspicious to me but may just be waiting to tie some property deals up. Anyway, the market thinks they are winning out! | tooredtobleed
28/7/2006 12:48 | Last year the interims were published on the 28th July - has anyone seen an announcement about when we can expect this year's? Monday? | siskinbird
28/7/2006 09:28 | mickyash We've all been there. If it's any consolation it matters little (except for capital gains tax) what you bought them at but whether you think it's better to hang on because the share price will rise or, taking into account the cost of switching, whether there are better opportunities elsewhere. For now it seems better to hang onto them but not holding any it's easy for me to say that. | maplinrover
25/7/2006 15:30 | Oppenhein and crew will, I guess, want a minimum of fives time initial purchase price 125p but independent reckoned around two quid | tooredtobleed
25/7/2006 12:30 | Not sure someone talked about £4 but I reckon will b above £2. | twirl
24/7/2006 14:07 | fantastic rise today. would not be surprised to hear about takeover deal tonight. anybody got any thoughts on a take out price? | mickyash
20/7/2006 14:52 | Basically we went down a few points and then came back up a few points... really exciting, nail-biting stuff | tooredtobleed
20/7/2006 14:43 | Someone bought 2 shares - so they must b fairly confident! | twirl
19/7/2006 15:47 | quarterly results are due towards the end of this month but the lack of the usual trading update in the first week of the month worries me - good news is usually issued fast. Couple that with some of the institutions off-loading lots of shares suggests we might be in for a bit of a sucker run... but may have that completely wrong, not unusual | tooredtobleed
18/7/2006 15:38 | nice rise today. hopefully an announcement to come soon. | mickyash
17/7/2006 11:34 | Interesting points to note: Schooders have off loaded a large quantity of shares without seemingly affecting the share price Although no bid seems to be imminent the share price remains stable at around the 1.50 mark Reading the not so positive would suggest that the share price has reached its highest level in the circumstances A more positive perspective would take the view that because the share price has not fallen then a bid is still likely and that bid will be higher than the current market price Incidently maquarie bank recently anoounced it was buying bowling assests in Australia. Might they be interested in buying similar assests off of george ? | littlejohn62
05/7/2006 16:24 | Looks like the rise from 150 to 200 is going to be full of the MM's extracting their pound of flesh along the way, but I am firm in holding until past 200. Lots of minor sells today, profit taking, but no real effect on the share price which suggests still have some big buyers in the background. The directors may be playing a double game, suggesting potential buyers are unlikely to come up with enough dosh only to encourage a nice bidding war... those with strong stomachs may manage to hold all the way to 600 (five times the Management's initial investment but five years down the line so probably about right given that a lot of money has been taken out of the co in salaries and consultant fees along the way). So hold, pls! | tooredtobleed |
