31/3/2006 09:47 | that mean nothing....vodafone have been buying back shares from 150p and now 120p.They should consider paying off their debt which the interest is eating into any profits they make. | taffychaff
31/3/2006 09:40 | yeah that is why they are buying back shares at 122 | tooredtobleed
31/3/2006 09:30 | a company with 86 mill of debt and profits of 2 mill should be avoided anyway price target 100p or less | taffychaff
31/3/2006 09:28 | rns released at 9.22 which is not really acceptable as most people check them before the market opens so prob lots of shareholders yet to realise | tooredtobleed
31/3/2006 09:17 | there was some quite heavy buying early morning at 140 plus, someone got caught... | tooredtobleed
31/3/2006 09:09 | no need to spoil the fun as the rise has been relatively small and reported in the press as due to improved trading (quarter end today so evidently NOT). On the one hand they bung out at rns promising big things next year and now this. Becomes a bit dodgy and may go yet lower... | tooredtobleed
31/3/2006 08:44 | Stmnt re Share Price Movement "RNS Number:7411A Georgica PLC 31 March 2006 Georgica PLC Georgica has noted the recent rise in its share price. The company knows of no reason, other than recognition of its intrinsic merits, for this rise. Georgica it not currently in talks with any third party interested in making an offer for the company End" That might spoil the fun for a while - but I do like "...other than recognition of its intrinsic merits"! | siskinbird
31/3/2006 01:43 | On the trading front, worth noting that the refurbished snooker clubs do very well and as more and more of them are introduced this should feed through to some nice cash generation. | tooredtobleed
31/3/2006 01:41 | From the Guardian" "Shares in Georgica lurched 10.5p higher to close at 140p on talk that trading at the owner of snooker clubs and ten-pin bowling alleys has been good since its annual results. Some in the market, however, noted that Georgica, whose management are considering a refinancing or possible sale, has been busy buying up its own shares recently" May bring in some more buyers today | tooredtobleed

30/3/2006 12:01 | bought in today..will see if further share price progress will develope. HH | huwrayhenry
30/3/2006 11:29 | yeah, but I think they have doubled the shares in issue over that time and 400 was probably shorter term than five years as the co was in a bigger mess than thought... be interesting to see what happens next, anyway | tooredtobleed
30/3/2006 10:17 | I am a long term holder. Bought in both previos two companies that then merged which means I have just come back to my original purchase price from 5 years ago which equals Oppenhein's price. I will not be surprised if we continue to see purchases of own shares. This type of business is very cash generative. Similar to managed and tenanted pubs. Now the restucturing is completed the business will generate even more cash, which Oppenhien no doubt will use to best advantage to drive the share price north. A highly leveraged and cash generative business can only mean increase in shareprice. 250 is not unrealistic in the near to medium future. Opeenheins original target from 5 years ago was 400 | larsen |
