29/10/2013 13:32 | Well they are still trading on the AIM and certainly not suspended so that is unusual. | tyler90
29/10/2013 13:25 | I am getting a 'shares suspended' notice on my Barclays account. Is anyone else experiencing this? | fabius1
29/10/2013 08:36 | 400k shares to be purchased over the next couple of months. Should mean a steady rise for the share price over the next few weeks? | tyler90
26/10/2013 10:15 | Currently a shareholder but reviewing my holding. At company presentations junior resource companies are often asked "What is the exit strategy?" GPK is now a mature company with substantial production and cash flow. One reason I think for its poor lack of recognition on AIM is a lack of exit or the prospect of dividends. With the ongoing debt crisis, is there ever going to be a good time to list in the US? I also wonder if US investors want to know where the exit is before climbing on board? | stevenlondon3
25/10/2013 18:26 | I suppose when you own 16% of the company, 3500 shares is small change but it shows that the directors feel GPK is a good buy at these levels. I think we are not going to see these prices for very much longer. All IMO & DYOR. | tyler90
25/10/2013 15:00 | Snippet on block LLA-34 from Parex, released after hours yesterday, "The Tigana-1 exploration well on Block LLA-34 was spud on September 9, 2013. The well was cased and we expect to test the Mirador and Guadalupe formations. The Tigana Sur-1 exploratory well was spud on October 1, 2013 and will evaluate the adjacent structural prospect." GPK interest 45% | thegreatgeraldo
25/10/2013 09:19 | I suppose the Director share purchase is more about a gesture than the significance of the amount bought. Positive IMO. | tyler90
22/10/2013 17:06 | I contacted the company today and asked further questions about the proposed listing. I am quite happy with the response and will continue to hold. They feel that capital markets are in constant evolution and waiting for the best window will be seen by the markets as a positive signal. They have not launched the transaction and so there has been no roadshow and registration has not become effective primarily due to the potential shutdown in the US. The 3Q financial statements and the operational update will be released on the 29 November and all the figures are as expected previously and they are still on track to meet the beginning of the year guidance. For me the last sentence is important; there are no hidden skeletons and so waiting for the right time shows the confidence of the board in their company. | zb1935
22/10/2013 13:02 | With the proposed share consolidation along with the listing, it makes for even less shares in issue so I believe it would still be very illiquid. | zengas
22/10/2013 12:39 | t90 - you might well be right - I had a note to buy at 500 as I thought the price would be dragged down by UK sellers not wishing to hold NYSE listed stock. I do think the Americans will be more active traders and GPK should reach it's "real value". But the news today was a surprise as I had thought the Yanks would be premium buyers of the placing - now I'm not sure. Very keen to buy back though post listing so will keep a close eye on news. The only thing I am now struggling with is valuation since the business has grown so rapidly the LGI valuation only relates to a part oif the business and I have no idea what everything else is worth - other than more than GPK paid for it - I assume All the best to everyone on what is a great thread and I have had some fun along the way. SJ | sailing john
22/10/2013 11:57 | Good luck SJ but I feel the management are playing it right. Why should they give away shares at this price when they and the market knows that the company is worth far more than £220M. It is not as if the company is in debt and needs funds desperately. I expect a few juicy RNS's in the pipeline so to stay out now is a judgement call but a risky one IMO. As usual DYOR but buying/accumulating now will possibly reap a 50% return in 6-8 months! | tyler90
22/10/2013 08:26 | Decided to exit for now Today's RNS suggests a delay to NYSE listing/fundraising timetable which I have taken as a possible short term negative. (It could of course just be that they haven't reached a fair value price well above the AIM quoted price in which case I will regret selling!) Might jump back in post NYSE listing in 2014 - depending on price and macros at the time. GL - SJ | sailing john
17/10/2013 19:23 | Sorry should have said SGM and we have the RNS; as expected a unanimous 'Yes'. | tyler90
17/10/2013 16:30 | I assume the listing on the NYSE was approved at the EGM today? | tyler90
19/9/2013 07:42 | Another good move; to spread the asset base across a number of countries. Being too reliant on one country can be risky especially in a region where political uncertainty is always on the horizon. | tyler90
17/9/2013 14:01 | I'm quite excited about the NYSE listing - I think it will be a catalyst for a positive shareprice rerating. I hope they get on with it soon - I've got a share competition to win!!! btw - I don't usually advertise but if you want to join a nice friendly community and share your thoughts/ideas, posters on here are most welcome. SJ | sailing john
17/9/2013 13:58 | Agree 100%. A very good sign indeed. Like you say, apart from institutions and people like Gareth Bale or Ronaldo £9m is not your average pi. | tyler90
17/9/2013 13:42 | Doesn't really matter The way I look at these big trades is both parties happy with price BUT - Buyer has 100s of stocks to choose from but seller must sell what he holds and that could be for any number of reasons. (ie usually more pressure on seller than buyer to do a deal) So on balance a good sign - £9m is a lot of skin! I would quite like to see LGI accumulating and the NYSE listing might be the catalyst. SJ | sailing john
17/9/2013 13:37 | Yes, you are correct SJ. Would be good to know the identity of the 2 parties. | tyler90
17/9/2013 13:33 | Both! SJ Edit btw it was £9m circa 4% of company | sailing john
17/9/2013 13:29 | 1,669,410 at 552.5. That is £922,349.25. Buy or sell? | tyler90
13/9/2013 17:26 | Bought some more yesterday. Lucky I did because I don't seem to be able to access my holding with my broker today. Assuming it's something to do with the AIM cancellation, but seems a bit early. I've emailed them to find out what's going on. | 2006stocktaker
12/9/2013 10:53 | Increased my holding by 50% yesterday, the story gets better and better imv.Hoping they get the fundraising away at a higher level but insti's will want a good deal i expect. | loafingchard
11/9/2013 22:42 | Added another thousand early on today. IMV the share price has drifted whilst the company has developed. The NYSE listing, if it goes ahead, will change all of that. | melody9999 |
