Looking at the results and at note 3;

3. LOSS PER SHARE

The loss per ordinary share is calculated on the loss after
taxation of £2,072,000 (2001 - £4,271,000), divided by 24.5 million
(2001 - 20.6 million) ordinary shares, being the weighted average number
of shares in issue during the year.

Why has there been nearly 4 million new shares issued in the last year? That represents a serious dilution of the original shareholder capital. Will they be doing this again?

This one looks solid at this price now. Also 1 of the MMs seems to be asking 7.5p.

HP - I thought you weren't in for "any of this short term nonsense" - Why did you sell if you think it's gonna keep ticking up - Who do you intend to invest in next ??

Have a look at THC (Topnotch Health Clubs). See what you make of this one. Results due soon, market cap well below their fixed assets (mostly property).

I said it MAY continue to tick up. Looks quite likely with these buys, its just Im a bit nervous about the markets in general and happy to take what is a big profit.
Dont know where Im investing next although Ive got my eyes on a few.

No reason why the price shouldn't move back up to 7-8p. This would be fair value based on sentiment and the company's fundamentals. Any positive news or change within the company or market sentiment in general would lift this. On the other hand, bad news / sentiment.... ;)

OK I sold out at 5.5p. Didn't move the sell price though so big seller perhaps cleared. May have sold at the bottom but 35% profit in a week is too much to resist.
Good luck to the rest of you. May be a bit of upside yet

Thanks Fox. Also worth noting that even small profits should have a major affect on the share price give that the market cap is a tiny 1.1M.

18 months cash looks like the worst case scenario but this still isn't one to put the house on.

good luck all.

In my experience when the spread widens (such as it has today) with the buy price going up it is indicative that the sell price will shortly move upwards. A large spread is also often used to deter short term traders and MM's for a stock are sometimes instructed on how volatile a shareprice can be (in terms of the spread) by the company or its advisors.

Preferably I would say the sell price should edge up tomorrow barring any big sells. It could also be that it is known that a big seller still wants to offload stock and the MM's are making it difficult for them to do so at an improved price - if they moved the sell up to say 5p, the seller could offload another 250K of shares and drive the price straight back down and the MM is stuck with a position they may not want. By keeping the sell price low it may eventually force the hand of the seller to contact the company direct in an attempt to exercise their position. This is useful if the company are not aware who is selling and why.

All the above is supposition on my part I remind you. It is worth thinking about, especially if you watch a company for some time - you can spot when certain events are going to happen in terms of general movements up or down. It ain't rocket science but it has helped me more often than not.

All the best - I do hold btw!!

Are the MM's playing games or what ??
They must have a huge wad of shares which have been off-loaded for 3 - 3.5p over the last few days, and now they're asking 6.5p for them.
Hopefully, though, the spread will narrow tomorrow and we should see renewed interest.

the fox good artical.

The 3% held by equitable Life would be 750000 shares, 25,000,000 in all i think.

were we to asume it was them them, it could be assumed with over 1,000,000 dumped a few days back that they have no more to dump, your thoughts on this are quite logical, but i guess we will never really know as we may have more than one like Equitable Life, the next few days will be interesting , oh have you brought in yet ?

I noticed the 175K sell at 3p as well. Price has still ticked up so it suggests that either the MM's are short of stock and / or the buy orders are outweighing the sells.

The company were not aware of any big seller when I talked to them. This, of course, may be not be the whole truth but it is apparent that someone has been selling stock with little regard for the company or the sharerpice. A candidate I would imagine are Equitable Life, who hold 3% roughly. There has been a lot of talk about Pension / Insurance companies having to sell equities to meet cash / debt requirements so it would be interesting to know if it was them. I would be suprised if it was someone close to the company unless they were in dire need of the money, which can happen.

A positive point is that short term creditors amount ot 700K, which is relative to a cashpile of 3.4m. Cashburn over the 6 months leading to the FY results amounted to 900K (4.35m down to 3.4m) which is also a very positive aspect - the existing cash resources should last at least another 18 months. If they can translate the growth in turnover experienced in Q1 over a longer period of time then fundamentally GOA is a no-brainer. The market will wake up to this fact as investors and institutions search for small-caps which have more cash than they are valued for. However, at the moment we may well see a rocky ride, espcially if the persisent seller hangs around.

All the best,

DR

Since fri 19-23 3 days trades the sells = 1,280,075----BUYS 458,255---with a 250,000 dont know @4p asume it a sell then 822,000 to catch up asume it a buy then 570,000 which is easilly made up with say 57 buys at 10,000 average buy may well head back to 6-8p befor the big sellar came on to scene, he may well have finished now.
