28/7/2015 06:09 | From another web site. When shares are delisted from the stock market it is difficult for traders who have taken a "short" bet – that shares will decline in value – to complete the transaction. Determining the final value of delisted shares can take a long time and closing out short positions can be troublesome. In the case of WINNIE, the Fat man, and the shorting gang the above is a somewhat understatement. Their bookmakers must be laughing all the way to the bank. The fat man has in the past lost millions when a share he has shorted has doubled (after he opened the short position.) With the shorters starting at just 15P ( 60% over net asset value at the time) the delisting price of £3.20P and this weeks placing of £6.00 their loss is standing OFF THE RADAR. The bookmakers (as we all know) "WIN" year in year out. We do sometimes see statements in their accounts when they get hit in their casinos and profits fall that year. Keep any eye out for one we have not seen in the past. 2015 was a bumper year for are spread betting division with no less than 4 punters making the wrong call on a tiny AIM listed share ( GATE VENTURES PLC ) that we took down bets on ranging from 15P in the spring of 2015.The shares delisted from AIM at £3.20P had a placing at £6.00 in July 2015 and are now (we understand)going to be re listed in Europe ( March 2016) at a rumoured price of £26.00 (after winning a series of contracts in the UK and overseas.) This has produced massive profits for your company that can not be repeated in the following years. The profits amount to over £100M. ( see Note 14 parg 3).From the day the book was closed the position ran a risk for us as a company of £430,000 ( in the event of a total loss). | ten bag man
27/7/2015 13:08 | Bam Ban, have you told the wife yet.? | ten bag man
27/7/2015 12:55 | "The Placing will be used to finance further investments in the TV & Media sector" I take this to mean they've allotted 1,500,000 shares which are nil paid up (free) so there isn't any cash inflow, and the shares will be used as deal consideration It doesn't have to comply with market rules so can go to town on the announcement therefore an issuance of free shares can be said to be issued at a 'deemed' 600p | bam bam rubble
27/7/2015 12:54 | No he didnt. He said there are punters in China that would sell at a quid. I doubt many or any shorters would take that, when zero pence is in sight | elcapital
