Posted at 05/12/2010 20:51 by mrsi Just been scrolling through charts on Sharescope searching for opportunities (long or short) and GRT popped up. Awful chart - obvious, but the way this company has been run is truly shocking, lends new meaning to snout in the trough - dreadfull. |
Posted at 23/11/2010 08:45 by envirovision Yes they just have an agreed allocation of shares which can be issued for what ever reason, i.e. fund raising/placing etc.Lots of small aim companies often would not have this, so that it could be later proposed at say an AGM and voted on. This gives holders confidence they wont be diluted to hell. Other larger companies like gartmore dont worry so much as shareholders just assume the company is so credible theres no problem and nothing un-toward would happen. Sadly GRT is anything but credible and the obscene event simply compounds this. |
Posted at 11/11/2010 16:24 by randolph and mortimer Well, JUPiter are now valued at 3.65 x GRT, with AUM of £3bn more. Even if GRT sank to £13BN, pro-rata Jupiter's valuation would still give £650m. Take off the debt of c.£100 and still one gets > £500m. Call it a deal at 155pps. |
Posted at 10/11/2010 11:38 by blueflex2 Lansdowne Partners Limited has increased their stakes in GRT recently |
Posted at 10/11/2010 11:35 by blueflex2 envirovision, you can not deny the fact that there are many private equity firms are out there to take advantage of this mess to buy out GRT for cheap. Hence the price has supported at 100-110p. This share is not for widow and is higly speculative for a possible takeover. |
Posted at 08/11/2010 10:55 by hvs lol !!!!Bet the CITY does not feel sorry for the jobs lost there. As for GRT not bad if you can float at 220p for soemthing with a value of 55p today. Not bad at all. They all desreve a very FAT BONUS. |
Posted at 08/11/2010 08:56 by simon gordon Yeah, I got stopped out when I tried to trade it for a takeover. Guy is so rich it probably means nothing to him if GRT are sold off cheap, he'll just keep trading and winning. |
Posted at 28/10/2010 07:14 by skyship Hmmm - too many funds in the lower 3&4 quartiles. GRT needs to be bought out and many of the non-performing fund managers axed. |
Posted at 10/9/2010 14:06 by envirovision i've gone for 5829, stop 1.12 with all the spare cash i have right now, hoping for GRT to be tipped as a takeover in the weekend press.JUP i just dont know where its going to stop, crazy. |
