12/4/2014 04:52 | I think Tom Kirby sees investor relations as a game. We are on the quest for information. We find the IMS - open it - it's empty. Damn it. We will have to look elsewhere. IMS 19th April 2013 - look familiar?Games Workshop Group PLC today issues the following interim management statement for the period 3 December 2012 to 7 April 2013.In the four months to 7 April 2013 trading has been broadly in line with the board's expectations.IMS 20 April 2012 - look familiar?Games Workshop Group PLC today issues the following interim management statement for the period 28 November 2011 to 1 April 2012.In the four months to 1 April 2012 trading has been broadly in line with the board's expectations. | nod
11/4/2014 18:00 | we don't know what the management's expectations are. Note: they did not say 'market expectations'. | 2magpies
11/4/2014 17:15 | No further profits warning, looks like the bulls have it for now. | essentialinvestor
11/4/2014 16:50 | Bought into these this pm. Chart looks great. Been watching for about a week and kicking myself for not getting in sooner. Looking for a move up to the 200dma at about 690p. | essential

11/4/2014 08:12 | If it's good news, managements are never backward in coming forward. They have said nothing about sales. Hmm. | 2magpies
11/4/2014 07:29 | I see. And the management's 'expectations' are......? | 2magpies
10/4/2014 10:50 | That we are magpies - just bought the core troops for my new high elves army. Ill let you know how the spray paint and washes go if you like? | mozy123
10/4/2014 10:31 | All very quiet here. Guess the nerdkins are busy watching paint dry on their mini-mini-chures?? Hey nonny no | 2magpies

01/4/2014 09:49 | So, Ting Tong: You don't work for GAW, surely? | 2magpies
31/3/2014 16:50 | They are in excellent locations where I know rents are cheap but still close enough for passing trade. In particular, Putney. | woozle1
31/3/2014 16:38 | Wooz Perhaps they are better located/managed/pres Also, perhaps, it says something about the (male) populace of Kingston/Putney. | 2magpies
31/3/2014 15:57 | Kingston and Putney GAW were busy this weekend. W | woozle1
31/3/2014 15:38 | Ting Tong, there you go: using an alias now are you? Only you could think of licking a window! Clearly the 'hobby' isn't giving you enough of a thrill. No wonder sales are declining. | 2magpies
31/3/2014 14:25 | Magpies - I went to a GW at the weekend. It was Sunday actually around 11:00am. Window was filthly - do you want the location so you can go and give it a lick? | mozy123
28/3/2014 09:49 | very good Ting Tong. Tossing and turning were ya? Posting @ 1.24 a.m.? As for those 8 'reasons': aren't they just incredibly feeble? (They are not reasons why games workshop 'loves you': they are just excited/thrilled comments on a very small selection of material - by a user. GAW is good at merchandising - no doubt about that!) Those grandly named bits of plastic don't actually 'go into battle' you know! They are inanimate, in case you haven't noticed. Exactly how big is 'space hulk'? Hmm?? And 'eight foot tall ninjas'? But if you love make-believe, then enjoy! PS: I do hope your PTEC shares don't slide further! | 2magpies
28/3/2014 01:24 | 8 Reasons Why Games Workshop Loves YouPAUL GOODMAN | 27 MARCH 2014 6:00 AMLast week, we talked about 8 reasons why that Games Workshop doesn't like us. But this week, we're going to flip it around and talk about 8 reasons why they actually like us, if only a little. | nod
26/3/2014 12:26 | Glad I don't have to write for a living... | fenners66
26/3/2014 11:37 | sp is now nudging the 50day sma will it act as resistance? will there be a bounce? throw that decagon.......... 1 = post bullish comment on thread (if dice lands within 1 in of a dried bogey on the gaming table, post twice) 2 = hysterically reach for the filter button (but only if the number 5 is also facing towards the tallest player around the table) 3 = immediately accuse a poster of lying (but only if every player is wearing black AND one of them has a birthday that day, but NOT if it's a leap year) 4 = brag about your age and how many years you have been investing in shares (this is only allowed if the square-root of the weight of the dice contains a numeral that is also contained in the figure representing the average weight of the players + the weight of the table) 5 = use aliases to post, in order not to be too transparent, and therefore too easily spotted (this can only be done if the dice has 'tumbled/rolled' at least three times before coming to rest, AND one of the players is called 'Darren') 6 = post a comment that comes across as 'research', but, in reality is just a ramp (this must only be done if the player with the highest BMI agrees to do a solo rendition of 'tiki tiki tonga', and no one giggles/laughs) 7 = post a mutually sycophantic comment - perhaps aimed at one of your own aliases, to project an illusion of popularity of viewpoint being posited (for this to be allowed, the 'down-stroke' of the number '7' on the dice, must have landed pointing magnetic north, and it is either March or August) 8 = lie blatantly, and pretend not to have read a post by a poster you have filtered (this can only be done if the dice fails to roll on the table at all and just rests as it lands, AND the oldest player has had coco-pops for breakfast, provided also that the said player is at least 40 years of age) 9 = post snippets that tantalise some, and make some others wonder if you actually work for the Imperator, being a bit too specific, perhaps in an unguarded moment {this must only be done if no one at the table has used the words 'kool', 'like' (pronounced 'lack'), and 'kind-of', AND there was a thunderstorm going on at the time} 10 = sell, but continue ramping (for this to be allowed, the distance between the top of the shortest player's head and the ceiling must be the same in inches, as the dice is, in millimeters, from the point where it landed on the very first throw of the game, AND you must recite Auld Lang Syne, backwards) | 2magpies |
