pennysharemillionaire2: The blog is up and running with some interesting observations. Open to public but I guess it will only interest a few shareholders. Atleast now I cannot be accused of trying to influence the share price ! PSM
daveyuk: So shares certs are hitting the mat 1:1 for g3interactive !! now if the share price is 10p get on !!!! Roll on monday/money !!!!
captain crash: Thanks for the constant advice on where this share is going JK. I'm pretty certain none of us could manage without it, but here's a little test for you... Given the reorganisation, and subsequent consolidation of shares, are you able to work out what a reduction of 10p in the share price actually means financially to anybody who holds (It's actually so simple that even Hamilton could probably figure it out). I'll give you clue - it's irrelevant. Totally meaningless. Not worth worrying about. Incidentally, the word you were looking for was GOES. Not go,s.
marksp2011: Jim More interesting than the share price anyway
captain crash: Who's the clown Jimmy? It was you who kept posting about what a fantastic job the management have done in turning around the company. The director's have taken a profit making company with a share price of 35p (admittedly that was overpriced, but you kept hanging on for more didn't you) to a washed out shell that can't post results and has run out of cash and that prior to suspension was trading at a fraction of a penny per share. How could directors resigning make things any worse?
jimmyloser: Back by popular demand and updated. The most popular post on the bb..ever! dyor jimmyloser 5 Feb'13 - 07:58 - 15817 of 15823 Conjecture corner – short story: At the end of September you are in bad shape but better shape than many expect. You have been repeatedly promised by your colleagues in a far off land that the blockbuster games you have told your increasingly nervous shareholders about will be launched-soon. However due to your colleagues inexperience in the big league, they underestimated the precision and resources along with the urgency required - delay after delay is reported back to you. Your credibility which matters to you a great deal is stretched as a stream of increasingly anxious and sceptical shareholders post messages on forums and contact the company day in and day out. Your share price actually tumbles to just over a penny. The wordsmiths are employed, they don't like words like 'delay' it's too hard and masculine and sounds too much like 'failure' so they conjure up a nice soft feminine word 'slippages'. This they believe will have people thinking it's nothing more than loose elastic on knickers - trivial. But year end report time comes (January), you have zilch to say other than a very clever deal on Croco, so you feed that to the baying masses. You quietly launch the long overdue tank game on Tencent and other trivial games in smaller countries - you need to buy time, because what cash you had at the end of September, has all but gone. You take comfort in the fact that your nomad had made you warn those baying shareholders last year. (That statement is worth re-reading, it is very accurate and well crafted-impo) Now you get your prayer mat out and face in whatever direction you feel most comfortable in and you then PRAY and pray 24/7. If those prayers are answered and whilst admittedly it early days, they do 'appear' to be being listened to (and for the record they include mine and over a hundred candles at 10p each). You will have lovely cash rolling in and room to manoeuver, but it will take at least until the end of February. At the end of February your game Happy Tank seems to be firing 'live ammo' and there is much excitement and uncertainty regarding the launch of what looks like one of Galleons 'exclusive' games by Koram Games – the company do not confirm this as they may have already done so last November!. Every morning the majority of your shareholders are up at the crack of dawn expecting news with the exception of a battle hardened two or three, who realize that the longer they can hold those results back – the more positive the news has the possibility of becoming. Attention has been focused on gaming, but Croco may well have a story to tell. In other news, a chain of high street manicurists went into receivership blaming the collapse on Galleons shareholders having bitten their nails down to the bone. The vacant shops have been let to a champagne merchant! If you like this short story, you can vote it up ;-)
yaki: So how comes that GON launches one of the most exciting games on Tencent and its share price is drifting down on a net buy of 12k shares? [Yes, 2.65p are buys] If the management and directors don't buy at these levels after the results, it will show how much FAITH they have in GON. Directors buys will be the best signal they can send that they believe GON's business is viable and likley to survive and flourish!
yaki: CC I agree with your point that the share price will only move if we see sustained profits and evidence of progress and not jam tomorrow only. Having said that, if a deep pocketed investor believes in GON's future (eg Tencent related entity) they can very easily bid up the price to several times the current level. As we have seen in the last few weeks that despite all the selling, the share price increased 100%!!!
makeamillion1: Yaki 95% of the traffic on wowan365 is being diverted to Taiwan according to the Alexa site, i would say it is Three Realms where I believe this is being tested prior to full roll out to China. Time will tell but the rapid increase in the ratings is a positive indication. I am surprised management have not made an announcement regarding the Tencent patnership as it is such a significant company and I prseume they have projections as to the likely revenue which would make an announcement mandatory. I am affraid no news is currentkly bad news for all investors and potential investors with the stock at rock bottom surely the company have some news flow to encourage us? Having been at the last AGM I am only holding due to the very positive discussion / outlook and until now have put the delayed profitability down to timing and having to be dependent on third parties to deliver. Clearly there is much action in development, clearly the company are still recruiting staff and at last we are seeing some games launching behind scehdule. If they work we will all forget the past, the signs are encourging the games are innovative and they have received excellent positive reviews. September is critical as the company will want at least to go into the next financial year generating positive revenue. Personally I beleive they will do it, Galleon is quite unique in its space and is able to bridge the gap between the east and the west. In my opnion this is a highly speculative stock for anyone without some prior knowledge of the China market and where Galleon is driving its business. The China marlet is booming within the online games space and many things can and will happen over the next 12 months. We should expect to see consolidation and the likes of Zynga acquiring companies similar to Galleon who can add value to their existing business. The current share price IMPO just about values Croco therefore there could be significant upside as soon as positive revenue and profitability are announced. Those of you who are used to valuing companies will know the kinds of multiples we will be looking at as soon as any announcment is made. The historical share price of Galleon should give the less informed an indication as to where the share price can move to. Lets hope the wait is worth it and good luck all.
aromaticduck: Greetings...All I was trying to do with my post was put forth a positioning and strategy that I believe represents strong value for the company and shareholders. Agreed and agreed agreed that the Fb-Zynga comparison is not directly valid, but the characteristics of the relationship have some validity in the GON-Tencent potential. Agreed and agreed and agreed that the company has let down shareholders in hte past. Agreed and agreed and agreed that they have to prove everyone wrong and make a success (soon!). But that said, my purpose here is not to debate the up and down of GON sp, ramp or deramp, complain about the historical mishaps, or whatever happens on bbs. I am writing because I believe that GON mgrs are reading this board every day, even multiple times a day. I would bet that they are since they are not writing and there is nothing else to read out there about them. So assuming you're reading HE and DW and YU and PD and any others - you decided on a China strategy. Own it. Get your games in market. Open up your relationship building with companies like Activision, EA, Zynga, others and help them come to China. Make yourself known and make GON a success. Lastly - if like me you believe that they are reading - let's turn the tone to direct them on a strategy vs. bickering with one another. I'll bet there's a good amount of combined GON ownership in this group - maybe 15% (??). Maybe not enough to control the company but enough to set the share price that would affect the value and net worth of mgrs.
