The bid talk is nonesense and has been going on for about 3/4 years now. Just concentrate on the Howdens business when investing here and nothing else imo.

Looking for 99,then will ,think again, if no bid..should see over 90 in days,can see the top trend at 110,might get right to the line.

The market likes the idea of off loading some of the legacy issues and the potential cost savings it brings, but a bit of growth helps as well as a small amount of new depot openings.
110p price target should be well on the cards depending on the general market conditions etc imo.

No probs Trojan, I reduced my holdings quite considerably over the past few months but still think there is a lot in this one to give, esp with the prelims due at the end of the month

Sorry jardi, not been keeping a close eye on it just lately as I am no longer a holder as you know and busy elsewhere.
Will try and look in a bit more often as I still have a non share interest with them due to a family member!! ;)

Buy the rumour sell the fact jardi20..? That's what I'm consoling myself with anyway... Market probably didn't like the continuing "challanging outlook" fo 2010 though.

I reckon the easy ride up is done for now. I was hoping for a last kicker in the share price before selling out completly and moving on (already started moving money into UNIQ - excellent board set up here by Trojan if you want to have a look btw).

Anyway, still holding a considerable amount and pondering when to move on after yeaterdays fall.

The results look good to me.If it is this good during recession there must be more upside when recovery comes.Surprised it opened down.Have faith.

Results are hopefully better then market expectations... £1.00 Thursday a possibility.
