Transaction in own shares

Gabelli Value Plus+ Trust Plc (LSE: GVP) announces that, pursuant to the authority granted at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 21 July 2016, a market purchase of 15,000 ordinary shares was made on 10 January 2017 at the price of GBP1.315 per share. These shares will be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, the Company held 385,000 ordinary shares in treasury. The Company's total issued share capital (including treasury shares) consists of 100,101,001 ordinary shares of 1 pence each. Therefore the total number of voting rights is 99,716,001, and this figure should be used as the denominator for calculations of interests in the Company's share capital.

Any re-sale of treasury shares will only take place at a premium to the prevailing net asset value per share at the time of issue and therefore the shares held in treasury do not give rise to a potential dilution to net asset value per share.
