19/6/2009 08:46 | PD is the Chairman of F4 Group (non-exec at the mo) and was re-elected as a Director at the AGM. He owned 5.45% of the company as of the last Report and I think is a director of the Joint Venture. So he certainly has an interest but not as large as before... | veryoldbob
18/6/2009 19:10 | I am confused... This Oakley business is what he owns.. So does he still own this wagon? Does not sound like he has an interest here anymore. | markieparkie

16/6/2009 18:54 | WiMAX will work on a train (I think Virgin are currently using it). As for the new report, it seems to favour LTE and not WiMAX. Here's the highlights I put on iii: 89...The next revolution will be a technology that is able to achieve greater resilience at the edge of radio cells and work in much wider radio channels. The most likely such technology for national networks across Europe will be the Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology. It can deliver a headline speed of 50 Mb/s in a 2x10 MHz wide channel. Other technologies may emerge over dense urban areas, such as WiMAX, to serve particular customer segments. 91...There is a role for Government intervention in releasing new radio spectrum for a rapid roll out of mobile "Long Term Evolution (LTE)" networks (requiring early release of the 800 MHz auction), ensuring the balance of radio spectrum holdings optimises network competition and extracting the best infrastructure deal for the country in terms of universal coverage. 94...The work done in the Digital Britain project shows an encouraging consensus amongst the incumbent mobile radio operators for the mobile broadband networks to be based upon either 3G technology or LTE. This does not preclude a new entrant using other technologies, such as WiMAX but in the highly competitive UK mobile radio market makes it is unlikely that such a new entrant would have the market power to de-stabilise the vital standardisation that underpins national and international mobile roaming for UK users. It therefore looks unnecessary to mandate the technology to be used for mobile Next Generation Networks. It's not all bad news though: 106..The immediate release of the WiMAX-suitable 2.6GHz unpaired TDD spectrum for auction; | veryoldbob
16/6/2009 16:34 | Parliament this 'avo. High Speed Broadband in ALL UK homes by 2012. Won't be copper won't be cable; so what will it be? Over to the experts on this board. Plus does Wimax work in a moving vehicle/train? ttfn | donkeystone
16/6/2009 16:14 | not much happening here, think I will go and watch some paint dry!! | nils214
11/6/2009 12:21 | As the shares are suspended there would be no harm in an interim announcement to indicate what is happening "We are in advanced discussions with: (choose whichever applies) a. Our bankers b. A major telecomms co who want to buy us c. Initial cleaning serices about the head office cleaning contract. We are hopeful for a positive outcome" | fludde
11/6/2009 07:36 | Thanks VOB. This co is unable to provide good news with a positive reaction in the SP, we usually go down. | troys
10/6/2009 22:49 | Techno Foxx on iii spotted that OFCOM started the consultation process for the variation of F4G's license to allow mobile WiMAX yesterday: Consultation closes 20th July and if UK Broadband's variation was anything to go by, the result will be three months later. Typical of this company: good news comes out whilst the shares are suspended! | veryoldbob
10/6/2009 19:05 | A bloody long AGM with the briefest report back possible! "RNS Number : 6377T Freedom4 Group PLC 09 June 2009 Freedom4 Group plc (the "Company") Result of Annual General Meeting The Board of the Company announces that, at the Annual General Meeting held earlier today, all the resolutions were duly passed. 09/6/2009 08:21 | I think the limit is 6 months before being delisted. | fludde
08/6/2009 22:53 | any ideas on expected timescale for news?? Do they have a time limit as I am sure they can't keep the shares suspended indefinately!!! If this is going to be a reverse takeover, so FFG will be the ones actually taking over another company and therefore I wouldn't expect there to be any immediate rerating, if any at all, as the best we could hope for is a company that fits with FFG and is maybe very undervalued for some reason??(or is it the other way around and another company will reverse into FFG?) | nils214
08/6/2009 08:36 | VOB I agree it makes it clear there was some information leaked somewhere, and not necssarily at the F4 end. I just hope the current rise was indicative rather than speculative! | fludde |
