Everyone must have a claim to fame...

Mine - I was growing sweet peas 20 years ago. I only grew 2 varieties Lathyrus grandiflorus 'Bushby' and another. One year I spotted a sport and it was completely different to these 2 varieties.

I collected the seed and finally in 1982 Thompson and Morgan released it to the public. I'll continue later my story later if anyone is interested...

I now have my sweet pea named after my kids Zoe, Richard and Jack.

My pea is Lathyrus grandiflorus 'Zorija Rose'.

I'll update later...

Good to see the share price has held up following the ex-dividend date.

No problem Sage. There is always a risk that the share price drops by the dividend amount on the X-dividend date. Thanks for the link, I have included the fund info in the header.

Thank you pH1T for bringing these to my attention a few months ago.
Are there any other VCT's where it is possible to buy @ 10% dividend (tax free)......
This is interesting.

Agreed, and there is quite a run up to the ex-dividend date.

I suppose this might start creeping up because of the dividend in Feb

From the Final results -

"I am pleased to report that the Board is recommending a final capital dividend of 3.50 pence per share. This takes total dividends paid to shareholders by the Company since launch to 28.50 pence per share. If approved by shareholders at the annual general meeting ("AGM"), the dividend will be paid on 22 March 2011 to shareholders on the register at 25 February 2011. Dividends paid by the Company are exempt from income tax."

Bye-bye beeb

- Hello

Throughout 2003 we flooded the BBC Caption Contest with the best and wittiest captions that advfn members could muster - far better than almost all the BBC's chosen winners - And saw so little reward that many of us gave up bothering.
(thread was )

There are many other caption contests on the internet. Some peurile, some too easy, some too slow to load. I have looked around for one that consistently picks images that are worthy of our attention and in which the judges appear to display a modicum of wit in their selection of winners.

For 2004 I propose we switch our allegiance to the ANORAK.CO website for a while. It may not have the worldwide audience that the BBC site offers, but if the beeb are displaying almost none of our efforts anyway, we will not be missing out on any fame and glory.

Post your entry to the Anorak website - and also to our thread.

Anorak.co publish results during Monday or early Tuesday.
Results for w/e 26 December (waxworks nativity, 1206) are posted at 1232.

During 2004, captions submitted by posters on this thread won a mention in every week except two
