30/8/2018 14:50 | I'm working on a case for 3 weeks what will bill more than the annual revenue for the new US sports deal. Sums FBT up. | bonio10000
30/8/2018 14:43 | McSean The most 'realistic' post/view of FBT I have read. GLM (For every £1 FBT take in revenue it costs £3 in expenditure, let's hope the interims prove otherwise) | paulcon1
30/8/2018 14:23 | hi Paul, The miracle is that FBT are still running. It'd be interesting to add up all the money they have spent in the last 18 years and see what to what it amounts. As NickB would say, there is no point as a shareholder applying logic to this investment, most (if like me) are stuck here with huge losses unwilling to realize them I suspect. However, I think it would be excellent if FBT applied logic to their position. They are incapable of meeting their financial outgoings each year without raising (swindling) capital. They have a codec that could be useful to Amazon, Netflix, et al. All their effort should be put into selling the codec and returning something to investors. | mcsean2164
30/8/2018 13:09 | Time Warner is a US company my understanding is the deal is Canadian. Research what Rogers own in Sports | nickb
30/8/2018 12:14 | I don't think it could be Rogers as they don't seem to be really a big player in Sports. They were laying off staff in June. Another candidate, which is one of the big 4 US players, would be Time Warner. It has really big sports involvement and a lot of news and other media interests. IM used to work for Turner, which is one of their subsidiaries so at very least he would probably know the right people to which to talk. | chriscallen
30/8/2018 11:52 | Strong foot in the door so I would expect increased take up of our technology across the ( I wish I could name them) giant North American media company. Rogers Media? | nickb
30/8/2018 11:03 | IM LinkedIn I am very happy to see that after trialling Blackbird Forte for a year this major North American media company (again I wish I could name them) have recognised the power and flexibility Blackbird has brought to the production of a major North American sport. They have moved from pilot to implementation. | cabi1
30/8/2018 10:42 | Yep - we are up 2.0% on a deal with one of the largest sports leagues in the world, which generates about a third of IM's annual bonus to FBT. It's all gravy. | bonio10000
30/8/2018 10:14 | Let's try being happy today. I know it is a struggle for some but look on the bright side: there was an RNS Reach with what appears to be good news and the share price has not fallen... yet. | chriscallen
30/8/2018 09:34 | McSean.. Hope all is good I find it ironic that the CEO's suggested new business strategy is B2B2C or B-B-C ... The very organisation FBT could not do business with... 😃 😃 😃 | paulcon1
30/8/2018 09:21 | Almost as exciting as a snail race. Share price 5.7p. | mcsean2164
29/8/2018 21:04 | Very encouraging | geheimnis2
29/8/2018 18:14 | We should be on the cusp / inflection point at last. very exciting opportunities opening up. I maintain we have the best video codec technology to win. Blue Sky or beyond 🚀 moon shot | nickb
29/8/2018 17:21 | I suspect that IM may still be on the West Coast pursuing other very large media company contacts as he doesn't appear to have any commitments until Amsterdam on 13/09. The half year results can wait until after that as they are past history and nothing anybody does can alter them. But they can alter the year ahead by what they do now. We are on the cusp I sense and one or two big name wins will change the picture entirely. But I'm not holding my breath! | chriscallen
29/8/2018 13:50 | Paul All blue sky concept stock no idea why you would be invested here for the ‘business̵ It’s about the technology and the opportunity. | nickb
29/8/2018 10:24 | Today's news is good news, no doubt and the CEO seems to have steadied a rocky boat, for sure, and I congratulate him and the team for that. However after 1 year in charge, there has not been 1 new RNS worthy contract generated. That I can recall there have been extended contracts and successful pilot schemes/proof of concepts. Yet no new business. (Of note) The Half Year results and accompanying statement should offer a true version of the company at present. IMHO | paulcon1
29/8/2018 10:09 | We have an exceptionally enthusiastic and financially committed CEO Winner. | nickb
29/8/2018 09:41 | A1samu. Let’s not forget new CEO and family investing. That’s the one for me. We’re in the best place we’ve ever been. Onwards and upwards. Ian McDonough and his wife Syarifah Aidid together purchased 1,000,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 5 pence per share and upon Admission will hold a total beneficial interest in 2,262,862 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to 0.77 per cent. of the Company's ordinary share capital. In addition, Ian McDonough's extended family purchased 13,000,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 5 pence per share and upon Admission will hold a total beneficial interest in 13,000,000 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to 4.40 per cent. of the Company's ordinary share capital. Â Together, the McDonough family have purchased 14,000,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 5 pence per share and upon Admission will hold a total beneficial interest in 15,262,862 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to 5.17 per cent. of the Company's ordinary share capital. | cabi1
29/8/2018 09:39 | Well, this deal should offset the cost of the Aus trip. | bonio10000
29/8/2018 09:35 | SSB Agree, my concern is cash burn and therefore bottom line... Bottom line(after 18 years) is the key to share price recovery and company resurgence. GL | paulcon1
29/8/2018 09:33 | a1samu Miton are backing the company. bonio I have on filter! | nickb
29/8/2018 09:26 | It's perfectly possible to be a bull on FBT but to question the narrative on one deal. Pipe down. | bonio10000
29/8/2018 09:25 | Why has MITON increased their holding to 58M on 26.6.18 in the face of all the negativity produced by all the preceding comment? | a1samu
29/8/2018 09:22 | Well done FBT for a successful pilot scheme and subsequent contract win. It seems a smaller contract (financially) than suggested but am sure FBT worked hard on it. Proves successful integration of tech.. BOOM! GL and IMHO | paulcon1 |
