Yeah, I was assuming annual fees only because FBT had RNS'd contract wins but never spoken about 'additional usage income' ...

Depends on the deal.

Plenty of deals are where you develop a product, get paid for the service and that is it - the provider then cashes in.

Plenty are where it is a development fee and then a percentage of sales.

Not sure if I was Town news I would want to pay FBT endlessly. I suspect we get an annual fee for the tech.

Point is - we don't know.

TownNews is just the conduit for the provision of services to the end customer. In the case of Buffet's contract with Lee (TownNews owner)and the latest contract with Melville found by cabi1 that gives coverage of over 12% of the US population they would both be additional. They are not selling a motorbike but services. So as in any normal software contract there will almost certainly be a volume related payment. It won't be based on the number of desktops that use it but it will be there. Otherwise they sell the software on the basis that it will be used on 10 newspapers / TV stations and in 6 months find its being used on say 3000 with no extra income. No business with that pricing model could ever survive.

How does that impact on FBT?Fbt already has its money on the integration with townnews. The rest is nothing to do with fbt.

I have had a few 5X 10X over the years on AIM and was always down at some point.

Don’t bother investing in small AIM companies unless they are potential multi baggers imho.
