Furthermore, if you look at the 2 RNSs today, UBS went below 8% then back above and ended up with exactly the same amount of shares

That said, happily FLYB is now at 7 days on ADVFN's constant gainers board. Only 1 share is better than that :)

kMann - not sure large holders have increased exposure recently. UBS has increased its holding, whereas HSBC and BNY Mellon have reduced their holdings (by roughly the same amount). A mere shuffling of the deck.

Lots of II's/large holders seem to be increasing exposure recently. If you have the means go for it I imo.

It all points to a short squeeze at some point, when stock becomes thinner. The share buyback will add to this effect too.

Cardif has been a sensational result for flybe. Tapped in to a growth market.

Not forgetting Doncaster

Fastest growing airport in Europe is Dublin. Flybe flies to 35 destinations from there :)

Great chart. Question to ask the bod is, how are you going to double the revenue whilst sticking to the purely regional model?

Does anyone know if there is a date for a QTR1 RNS or are the next results due to be the half year on Nov 9th? I can't see anything on the website re Qtr1. Thanks.

FLYBE the future

This is getting the attention of the creative thinking investor imo.

“The decision of Flybe to expand its offerings at Hannover Airport is a great signal to the market. Flybe has already been a reliable and successfully growing partner at Hannover Airport.”

Clearly the model works, and can be scaled up and expanded throughout europe.. I can see mergers with other like minded ambitious airlines, so synergy savings, less cut throat competition (as the mergers will effectively reduce competition) , and a more complete pan European service.

THE NEXT EASY JET?

Certainly has more than a drop of easyjets dna in Saad and others. And thats a multi billion £ company compared to FlyBe, so plenty of growth and market to go for.

I think you will be proved wrong. Some just like to wait for confirmative signs, stats, results, brokers, tips before buying, but you miss the best part of the gain. But do a bit of research and look at the value and charts, you can make greater gain.

As far as take over, the whole of UK.plc looks cheap, so your going to get stake builders, if not takeovers.

A take over seems the best way of getting back some of the value that has been lost in the last couple of years but I think it is very unlikely given market conditions. The £3.41 mentioned above (even in 2 years) seems unrealistic (IMHO) and I fear it will be that time before we even get close to £1 again! Would love to be proved wrong, having bought on a few occasions on the downward spiral!!

Amorruso agreed takeover at a higher price is very very likely but not now. I liked post 2840 for projected fair valuation but the valuation of £3.41 in 2017 is 2 years early imo. Happy to be wrong.

I completely agree with your post sandoval but with the institutions holding so much stock it effectively makes a takeover all the more plausible.

It would be far north of 100p imo though as the Price to Sales Ratio of FLYBE is 0.1 against 1 for the sector so lots of upside.
