PBT -17m was less than Equity Development's estimated -20m, net cash higher. Customer numbers rising faster than expected, outlook improving. Stiff's remuneration might be a grumble but it doesn't affect the overall story.

I think that you need to do your maths again.
If you average the figures it is less than £1m per month burn with £18.8 m at the bank.

Opodio ... Allow me to add the word "again" at the end of your above post.

These results are typical of Stiff's glossy disemblance, what really would bother me if I was stupid enough to be holding is: "We initially started installing boilers in mid 2015. However, on 4 June 2015 the European Court of Justice ruled that the UK's reduced 5% rate of VAT on energy-saving products was in breach of EU laws." My clear understanding from speaking to well placed sources in the company, was that no boilers were ever fitted on commercial terms during 2015.

As Orpodio has alluded to already, one must wonder what bonus the remuneration committee will decide on for Mr Tony Stiff. If it's more than a pound (assuming his basic salary is not materially different) then anyone holding should take note. DYOR

The prospects look good but the remuneration is too high for such losses

The remuneration should be more biased to share options based on performance

Lets see...

Operating loss of £17.1m

tony stiff the stiffmeister still taking a £500k salary despite rising losses

It dont look like enough cash to last a year at this burn rate,

cash prob down to £10m and burning £1.5m each month, gonna go bang by month 6 which is October imho

next acounts willhave to be qualifed by auditors imho

Lol, sorry Moorsie, that's even more of a mugs game, I'll wait till morning. We've recovered mostly from last week's unexplained selling anyway so that's encouraging.

Mugs game trying to predict share price reaction on results day Moorsie, but I bet we'll be nearer 30 than 20 within a week, assuming no major market disruption. I'm not saying how long for:)

IC had a small mention in their morning summary today:-

Flowgroup (FLOW) has this morning announced its intention to roll out its electricity generating boilers in Italy. The company has signed a letter of intent with Trillary Srl, part of an Italian heating consortium, to trial the Flow boiler in the country – the third largest boiler market in Europe. The share price is up 5 per cent in early trading and we maintain our buy rating.

We take our energy from them and they're the best so far, honest plain speak, simple to use and I'm saving money, not surprised their customer numbers are increasing ahead of plan. The boilers are the cream though, confirmation on the VAT issue will be helpful even though it's almost being assumed, and strong forward outlook with the results and last weeks unexplained drop will be history.

Recently watched Cardfactory, Pondland and Sportsdirect all savaged pre results, all to bounce back strongly within days. It's almost the norm, I added on Friday.

Have a look at the number of energy customers on any sensible valuation metric and will see your answer. Flow boiler is the increase in valuationfrom here

Hi

Well, we are past mid 2016 and looks as though the die hard gave up on this thread.

A free educational tip, just read back through the thread, especially the very, very optimistic posts

LOL
