Hmm - it seems a new substance has been created which is the first substance to be harder than diamonds. It is a long way perhaps to production. But its got me interested in it, and now more unsure when/if to come in hardide. I have posted this on HDD too as I want to gather information on how to invest on this new material (perhaps some bet hedging - the chances of a another super-hard material being found must be less high now?).

Dumped my holding weeks ago except for token 5k which I have sold today following RNS....I do not believe it is even worth leaving them in. If the management is untrustworthy and self-serving then the bottom line has to be not to leave one's money in their care. They are going nowhere that I can see.

So that's it, all sorted. Answers to questions raised: follow the link above re the EGM. Need to start a new thread tomorrow, maybe? name Proventec, epic PROV. Somehow I don't think there will be a rush - have we been taken to the cleaners?

Will not the immediate price be affected by the placing if it happens and at what price.

The market has already evaluated the 'deal' and given that possible flotations are some way off, then I am at a loss to understand what possible news the company can provide today that will lift the price...I am thinking a drift south from here on in....contributions welcome!!

ndoody, read the links in the header for 26/07: reverse takeover requires shareholder approval at an EGM. The Dutch one was yesterday - approved. The UK one is today. RNS before close, I imagine.

Dont mean to sound thick here but what exactly is an "Extraordinary General Meeting", obvioulsy I know what a meeting is, but why the use of the word Extraordinary as thats quite a powerful and usually means something quite remarkable. I wouldnt mind them putting on a few extraordinary meetings here actually because I'm yet to attend a meeting where my attention span has gone beyond 2 secs.

"Cleaning up" is an apt expression, maybe?

I would imagine, that is the primary objective of the reverse takeover... But no worries, thinkBIG? has predicted 14p/share by this time tomorrow...

...Mr Olrik said the company was focusing on the automotive sector and talking to every motor manufacturer in the world... Hmmm... I never like to hear that. Will look good on paper (huge market), but in practice is often a very long road to travel (new models take years to put into production). The delays in that sector have been the downfall of many small IP companies...

Article about Keronite, pretty up-to-date. Seems the float will be early next year. Should be a bigger splash than Hardide. http://www.cambridgenetwork.co.uk/pooled/articles/BF_NEWSART/view.asp?Q=BF_NEWSART_173005
