Yes, well, odd to get loads of posts and no change in the shareprice trned direction, just at the moment.

I, too, do not hold. I'm waiting for CDN$2. Not sure I buy the 10p story.

Good point TC.

However, why did they not start oil production?

They could have trucked it and really should have started cashflow with it instead of waiting.

Maybe hermana was onto something with his previous post.

omellete, iam not holding, like i said earlier, have done in the past and lost a pkt,
Anderson + gang are now trying to put doubt in shareholders minds, if they are ousted, Algeria would not be happy,
I would say the deal is profit shareing with Algeria, so how would they be happy earning absolute zilch with FPL has it stands today, and has done for the last 2/3 years over runs,
Has for holding now, its like jumping a board a ship with no rudder,
or a car with no steering wheel !! Tc.

Whats this "Goto article" link seems to be jumping posts?

om,they could subcontract the jobs they cannot do themselves. PCI are in fear of Khelil and Sonatrach too but have Italian acreage which the Algerians are interested in too.

I don't think they would do that, as Anderson could not sell FPL out too cheaply - but can the Algerians finish the project themselves?

The design has been done, so what stops them from buying it all?

Cheers Bob. What has been said in London? Cheers.

Instead of lending the cash, could the Algerians not just buy it back?

What stops Sonatrach from buying out FPL?

omellete: see my post above. If nothing else, this problem has been *exposed* and someone will have to do something about it. I honestly wonder if Anderson and Khelil are aware of what's been said in London, and not just recently, about FPL's dreadful track record regarding the value of investor's money (including great chunks of institutional money). And I don't even have any of these, so I only hear some of what's said. bob

but imho DYOR etc as always

Since Dr. Khelil seems very keen to get this project moving forward rapidly, his Government can surely lend the development cash to FPL, at marginally above the base rate, thereby avoiding the need for any more share dilutions. Simple.

but imho DYOR etc as always

Bobobob - Do you think a change of CEO and Waterford's backing help get the $750 mill finance required? Is the finance even an issue?

Any ideas on the stage of the finance?

Last I remember reading it was going to be Q1/08.

What does that have to do with why a court is controlling an investors vote on a matter of employment?

Does anyone know how a court is involved in a shareholder vote? What are they bringing to the process? I've not come across this before.

Shujja: the word on the street (well, the street on which I hang out, at least) is that this one is undervalued, and that it *could* go to £4. But it's all down to funding the huge development programme. bob

imho DYOR etc
