Good informative video. Hoping for 80-90k carats at auction plus fancy yellows. Hmmm

Get her a shiny piece of anthracite, and explain that you hope to swap to a smaller but clearer version should your painstaking planning succeed.

New video ? - Mine in operation, flyby drone...

Do any holders have this problem ? My wife has unfortunately noticed that first sale results are expected in the week of St.Valentine's Day. She has indicated that if at least a small rock is not forthcoming, then I shall be cooking my own meals for the foreseeable future.

Thank you tanelorn. That is most helpful. I presume it is in $US.

Totally agree, 20 Stones, assuming they are of fine quality and at > 10.8 Carats each, presented in the right Market at the right time and to the right Bidders, could indeed reap significant Reward.

I do not think FDI would have mentioned 20 stones > 10.8 carats unless it was significant. About 75 years ago there was an enormous parcel under the Christmas tree with my name on it. I was in torment wondering what was inside. Champers and caviar or rather jelly and ice cream. It was a train set!
Will it be the same here in two weeks time?

Wasn't being pessimistic, just saying that might be a realistic valuation OR might not be at all, depending on multiple, immeasurable, influencing factors. Who knows ??
It's an exciting time that's for sure... $5m would be outstanding !!!

I think you are rather pessimistic, potterm. I think I read somewhere that $95/carat was overall price. I prefer tanelorn's wide bracket bearing in mind the wide possible variation in quality, colour and clarity etc.
We will know a lot more in two weeks time. Champagne and caviar, or sackcloth and ashes?

5,000 to 5,000,000

Maybe $100/Carat ? Depends on who's in the Market to buy, how bidding goes, what the actual fineness/quality of the particular Stone is, etc.

Can anyone give me the vaguest idea what a 37 carat white diamond is likely to be worth? I know that there are numerous factors to take into account but are thinking
£1000--£20000 or £50000--250000 or what? Any ideas?

This would surely put us under the spotlight regarding potential T/O opportunities?

Assuming there isn't going to be any sort of Military Coup, Revolution, hijacking of our Operations, or major Environmental Disaster, I sense we are well & truly "off & away".
The year ahead feels very exciting at last, with the potential for all of us to achieve "Diamond Geezer" status... LOLs

I would have liked greater clarification on the following:

" .......
As is normal during the commissioning phase of a new plant, we have had to modify or change certain operating parameters. The current grade of 14.4 carats per hundred tonnes has been below the initial commissioning estimates and the Company is currently focused on making adjustments and investigating potential causes for the under recovery of lower value finer diamonds. During the commissioning process we will continue mining in the lower quality ore areas until the recoveries have reached required levels, following which we will then move into the better quality ore areas within the main pit, where the higher value diamonds are expected to be recovered. The recovery tailings from the commissioning phase are being stored separately and will be retreated once the commissioning adjustments have been made................"

1) How worrisome is this, ?
2) Revisiting the treated ore means more dilution in the future.
3) However it appears that this related to the smaller diamonds, and recovery of larger stones, apparently successfully will mean the US$ per carat when sold will be higher than anticipated. This of course balances out in the future.

Nonetheless, i'm generally content with the report, and the financial 'statement'.

How longs a piece of string? The share price starting to tick up now on a very good rns. Imho once the main areas are mined I expect some very large diamonds, remember the loosen days when the quality of the mine was never in dispute and everyone knew there were some very large stones getting broken well this newly constructed mine will hopefully prove everyone right. I know it sounds like a ramp but just look at 8 years of historical reporting,

Can somebody wrap some indicative financials around the following for me please?...

a total of 58,000 carats having been recovered, including over 20 special stones larger than 10.8 carats, with the largest being a 37 carat white diamond, as well as several fancy yellow diamonds.

How many £s/$s will that little lot bring in during the Quarter ?
