Well heres the story. They need a rights issue to acquire Griffin Leisure the vehicle holding the option to buy the Barbadian land. This is what the stock is all about. The word on the street is as follows:

Institutions were more than happy to stump up the cash in a closed offerring, they were not happy that Terry had so much of FDC. They were happy that he could subscribe to the offering (indeed oversubscribe,) there will be an announcement shortly on this.

All the above is thoroughly unstubstantiated dyor etc, yes I do hold.

Anyone seen the telegraph today, says Ramsden has sold one of his other holdings to and there are rumours that FDC are in talks over a reverse takeover with an oil exploration company

As stated earlier only purchased today ,TR held 28.2m shares but looking at traded volumes over the last 5 trading days we have seen more than TR's holding going through,this suggests our new owner(s) have been buying in the market.

Nice trades going through now at 3.5 over 2mill - lets hope the shares respond in a positive manner tomorrow

I take it Ramsden is not out completely but now holds less than notifiable amount ie 3%.

At least all the stock was absorbed by the market very well and the price has ticked up which is a small positive, was Ramsden involved in the Barbados deal and how will this now affect FDC - comments please

It can only be the Barbados thing. This will require a rights issue. I hope that its an open offer but I doubt it, also I hope its very close to the current price. Again I have my doubts, I hold 220,000.

Those 2 mill trades were a rollover, i have seen quite a few of these over the last few days which suggests there is still alot of hot money in these shares. At least they are not selling but will probably have to in the next 4 weeks if they are T20's.

Lets hope for some good news soon
