APPOINTMENT OF GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR

Further to the announcement on 28(th) August 2015, the Board of Essentra plc ("Essentra" or "the Company") today confirms the permanent appointment of Stefan Schellinger as Group Finance Director with immediate effect.

Stefan Schellinger has advised the Company that no details are required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13.

Stefan Schellinger: biographical details

2013 to date: Corporate Development Director, Essentra plc

A Group Management Committee role and responsible for determining the Company's strategy, including managing the strategic planning process across Essentra's Strategic Business Units to deliver the objectives of Drive for 2020. Accountable for all aspects of M&A, including deal origination, strategic evaluation, pipeline management, due diligence, negotiation and integration. Under Stefan's tenure, Essentra has completed six transactions with a total value of c. GBP400m, including the Company's largest acquisition to date, Clondalkin Specialist Packaging Division, for US$455m.

2011 - 2013: Finance Director - Emerging Markets, Gilbarco Veeder Root

Responsible for the finance organisation and management of a fast-growing emerging markets business, including annual budget setting, monthly reporting and forecasting, financial controls and compliance.

2005 - 2011: Corporate Development Director - Europe, Danaher Corporation

Based in Washington DC and London, drove the M&A agenda of the highly-acquisitive and fast-growing Danaher Corporation, a US-based global science and technology company with revenue of over US$20bn. Successfully completed more than 25 transactions across Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific.

2000 - 2005: Vice President - European Diversified Industrials / Transport, JP Morgan Investment Banking

Provided strategic advice to international corporate clients in the European industrials sector, focusing on the origination and execution of M&A and capital markets transactions.

1998 - 2000: MBA in Strategic Management & Finance, University of Chicago

1995 - 1998: Senior Auditor, Arthur Andersen

Based in Frankfurt, trained in German and international accounting standards, with a focus on industrial manufacturing clients.
