26/8/2016 09:13 | What a crazy Mark down | patviera
26/8/2016 06:37 | people in the know again ? time will tell | stan40
25/8/2016 15:14 | why the sellings? | nash81
25/8/2016 11:20 | Agreed pat but we need to keep this in perspective Zinc prices have recovered but they are only just above where they were a year ago and a year ago a third of zinc mines were losing money This is still a buy and your target is very reasonable at .5p but you have to laugh at lse where nearly 6p is being mooted and people are talking about retiring :-) CRU's 2015 Zinc Mining Cost Report and Profiles, published Friday 21st August 2015, reports that up to one third of global mine capacity is currently losing money. CRU Head of Lead, Zinc and Precious Metal Research, Graham Deller, writes: "our analysis clearly explains the mounting pressures faced by global zinc miners and the rising spate of price-induced closures both inside and outside China." If China cant dig it out the ground at $.9 in 2015 then the current price of $1.1 will need to rise. I still say this is a stop gap and the value here is Moonlight. | blackss
25/8/2016 10:49 | Mmmmmmmmm ! ? | andrea152
25/8/2016 10:47 | Looks like buyer of 8m at 27.5 No wonder they didn't stay 27 offered for longFeel v steadyAs if someone knows Spain news will be positive | patviera
25/8/2016 10:38 | It goes into auction about 15 times a day even with no trades :) You really need to stop reading lse :) | blackss
25/8/2016 10:14 | Into Auction 1st thing this morning and a few big old trades, 8m, 25m going thru. A nod's as good as a wink, to a blind bat, as Monty Python once observed. IMHO, DYOR. | andrea152
23/8/2016 11:08 | You may be right, but having operational flexibility on both projects at this point in time (and NO debt) is undoubtedly a good position for the FCR BOD to b in. I DO trust JT to deliver. IMHO, DYOR, GLA. | andrea152
22/8/2016 15:22 | I think they will get a jorc for Spain and flip it.. | blackss
22/8/2016 13:09 | Its the other way round. Zinc is the future, iron ore is the past. They want to build a quoted, mid-cap Zinc Mining Company, with a primary listing in London, as per Petra Diamonds and Aquarius Platinum, as was. Moonlight will, at best, merely fund this project. There is too much Iron Ore in the World, and not enough Zinc. IMHO. | andrea152
22/8/2016 11:35 | I would agree accept JT still refers to Moonlight as the "flag ship" project. I think Spain is just a stop gap while they work towards Moonlight BFS. | blackss
22/8/2016 11:15 | I would also go for a JV on Spain too and hence the delay in announcing the completion of the Toral purchase. I would also not rule out further Zinc project acquisitions, which cud be earnings enhancing in the future, to which JT has alluded in the past. I have almost stopped thinking about Moonlight, as we hav had so many rumours & counter-rumours over the past 6 years , all of which hav amounted to nothing so far. I suspect that a JV or outright sale of the project with a S African entity of some sort is the most likely outcome, with Kumba Iron being the most likely partner/acquirer in my view. Vedanta also cant be ignored given what is going on with them in S Africa at present.(they are also big Zinc miners/producers.... FCR Stock is well bid in the mkt today, I note. IMHO, DYOR, GLA. | andrea152
19/8/2016 13:31 | Black I am not bothered either, all i care about is just having that first piece of positive news and once received the future for Ferrum will be very bright i am sure, as there is lots of news to follow, JT wants long term holders who as he said will take profit along the way but initially stay with it for at least two years, and i for one am willing to take that risk. If we don't get news and a further extension is announced then chance to buy more at a cheaper price, bring it on! but as you said if it means the deal is watertight then so be it. | firemansam4
19/8/2016 12:01 | Interesting Sam thanks for that, i must admit i have seen a JV mentioned several times and for some strange reason i thought it was to do with South africa. what you say makes good sense and could well explain the delay. Personally i am not bothered by the delay, any business deal needs tieing properly and one involving the Spanish especially so :-) | blackss
19/8/2016 11:02 | Black I think a JV on Spain, hence the delay, but if not today, next week should be interesting one way or the other! Reference Moonlight i think they are adamant on the sale i think they are just making it more attractive in terms of awaiting information from AA (which i think they already have) to announce increase in JORC, again time will tell! | firemansam4
19/8/2016 09:54 | Hi Sam, not quite with you A JV on what ? Moonlight or GQ ? i cant see a JV on Moonlight would hold up Spain ? | blackss
19/8/2016 09:27 | Morning Black I feel that if we don't get the news this afternoon then IMHO i feel the way we are going is down the JV route which will be better for shareholders, i think the Spanish deal is done but it is the legals on a JV that could be taking the time. If we were just going down the purchase of GQ i feel that we would have heard by now but again re-reading the last RNS extension there is a carrot in there! So wouldn't be surprised to see a JV announced personally and its whether they can tie this up before month end or another extension is required, next week we will know either way i think! | firemansam4
19/8/2016 09:14 | Hmmmmm I am now officially worried for several reasons. 1/ If this news is expected to be so good i am surprised its not been reflected in the share price yet. We are still 50% down on this time last year 2/ Fcr have still to hit a deadline set by themselves let alone anyone else. 3/ The Announcement of full funding "before" the RNS to confirm the full funding placing was amateurish. Are we heading for another deadline extension ? | blackss
17/8/2016 16:27 | The only thing Tom Revy has ever driven is Miss Daisy. | andrea152
17/8/2016 10:29 | JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Two Western Australian mining executives, Tom Revy and George Bauk, have been appointed to the initial board of new pure play graphite explorer Graphite Australia, to drive the public float and ASX listing of the company. Remind me not to invest in this one then! | firemansam4
17/8/2016 08:52 | Its difficult to know if the situation we find ourselves in now is just poor PR or very clever PR. Social media and other forums have whipped themselves up into a frenzy which is not reflecting in the share price at the moment. Reading the lse forum i would be crying with laughter if it wasnt for the fact i have money in this :-) Bottom line is for all the hysteria this is still less than half what it was a year ago long before spain was even mentioned. | blackss
16/8/2016 15:08 | There have certainly been plenty of let-downs in the past. 6 years of them, to be precise. | andrea152
16/8/2016 14:56 | Just my opinion but i think it will spike on news from Spain but the real value is South africa so i will sit it out, Moonlight is what i invested in. If it goes silly i might top slice the few Mil i have in a regular account and keep my majority in my ISA It really depends on what the news is, i'm quite prepared for a complete let down in Spain still. | blackss |
