20/10/2016 04:45 | while traveling back to work in Angola was chatting to 2 young Chinese guys and I asked them if they had ever herd of yooya media and if so do they rate them, both said no never herd of yooya but said they would Google when we land, in the que for immigration they did this they said they would do some research into them cos we have no Google over there, so it still goes to show not everyone has herd of yooya yet, so maybe they still have some time to wait too before they hit the big time as they have a lot more people to reach out to yet | monkeymonkey
20/10/2016 01:35 | No surprise to hear that I had no response to my comments about PR and updating their website in a more timely manner. No doubt just another pesky shareholder to ignore. Shame really, but there you go. The only two companies that have ever responded to queries/suggestions of mine in a polite and positive way are BOO (still invested) and HWDN (sold out but probably fine in the long-run). Was expecting more from FFWD. Will still hold as I like the variety and potential newsflow from so many investee companies. | lauders
19/10/2016 21:57 | FFWD tweeted (2:45 PM today): Great article on the power of #VR in #gaming. Our Investee @Leap_Gaming is certainly ahead of the curve here. | bdog51

19/10/2016 02:05 | Half year results were on November 13th last year so not too long before the same set of results are due this year. I just sent a message about FFWD's poor PR to them via the website so will be interesting to see if they respond. Somehow I doubt they will but miracles can happen. Something recent from Yooya's blog: Fragmentation has always been a theme in media. Whether it’s print, OOH, radio, TV, mobile, online video or social. In China, the absence of Youtube has led to the fragmentation of the domestic online video market. Instead of one dominant platform the country boasts over forty, each vying for unique audiences and views, making online video a very competitive market in China. As a result, reaching consumers in the world’s fastest growing economy can pose a challenge for both brands and advertisers. Yooya solves this issue. The online video landscape in China can be daunting and complex. We aim to make reaching the biggest online video audience in the world, simple. Today, Yooya reaches over 632 million users in China (95% of overall users) and China is forecast to grow usage to over 700 million by year end (2016). | lauders
18/10/2016 17:09 | More radars, wider audience - where is the marketing ? | doodlebug4
18/10/2016 16:58 | We need a volume explosion at FFWD to get this moving. The highest volume in the last month was 690000 but mostly much lower such that on 4 days it was less than 50000 with a low of 26000. We need to get on more radars! | 888icb
18/10/2016 14:23 | Yooya @YooyaChina 7h Smartphone consumption of #digitalvideo is exploding in China. Over 350 million Smartphone video viewers and growing (@eMarketer) | doodlebug4
18/10/2016 09:27 | Small top up for me this morning. The first disposal cannot be too far away I would have thought. | rafboy
18/10/2016 02:17 | Some new positions at Factom announced the other day: Yooya and Factom look like they are doing very well at the moment. FFWD are never dull that is for sure. Announcements of one type or another can come any day from the investee companies which is a part I like. Patience is needed though and I am trying my best with FFWD based on the fact that the potential is so great. | lauders
17/10/2016 15:39 | In todays FT they are discussing the proposed IPO of Snapchat and the suggestion is that it will be valued in the range $20 - 25 BILLION. Snapchat currently has 150 million users worldwide. This just gives an indication of the values that can be attached to companies such as Yooya. Clearly we would be very happy with a fraction of that value! I think there will be an event relating to one or more of FFWD's investments which will send it back to previous highs in an instant. If you are not invested when that event occurs you will miss out as the free float is quite small and hence shares are difficult to get if there is serious volume. | 888icb
17/10/2016 13:35 | Pleased to see the lift in share price yooya is just one of a string of excellent investments but so far only the regulars on here seem to be aware of this. | moormoney
17/10/2016 13:22 | Yes agree Yooya was an excellent investment choice by the BoD. Will be very interesting to see how much it will be worth in due course. | rafboy
17/10/2016 12:33 | Yooya alone could take FFWD to the stars! There is alot to be excited about and the share price has ticked up | 888icb
17/10/2016 12:19 | Yep the youtube of the far east! | flashheart
17/10/2016 12:16 | Yooya @YooyaChina 8h8 hours ago We reach 95% of #China #internet users. We're the #1 choice for #content creators and #advertisers to connect with audiences. | doodlebug4
17/10/2016 08:31 | I will hold if the share price has risen on a disposal by the end of 2016. The company have indicated that the plan is to dispose of a holding or 2 before year end and that is what I expect to happen. I will then take it from there; however, I agree that the potential return here could be very good over the next few years. | rafboy
17/10/2016 02:27 | That is indeed the golden question doodlebug4! I would say that if the news keeps coming, management show they are trustworthy/transpar | lauders
16/10/2016 20:11 | That's a good post ADRED - 3-5 years view. Hopefully we will all be sitting on a nice profit by then, but I question how many investors have the patience to wait so long! | doodlebug4
14/10/2016 22:23 | Hi all, This is a difficult share to value, normal metrics (DCF, NAV etc) don't apply. Take Factom, a blockchain-based record verification and auditing infrastructure provider. Its working with technology consulting firm iSoftStone to shape a smart city strategy, which will roll out data storage, auditing, and verification service for several regions in China. China is looking to construct new modern infrastructure to match its rapid pace of urban development, building so-called "smart cities". Factom's Blockchain-based systems will be deployed in 80 smart cities in China. Please research Blockchain to understand the value of Factom and this is only one company in the portfolio. Blockchain is a game changing tech and it could dramatically improve and impact many businesses sectors and govt functions. Marc Andreesse (Netscape co-creator) "in 20 yrs we'll be taking about blockchain technology the way we talk about the Internet today" Now, there maybe a right issue but that's the nature of this type of investment company. NAV, NAV is stated at costs or the last fundraising the investment company undertakes. This does not reflect the progress the company may have made in Factom case "Factom signs a major deal with the US Department of Homeland Security to help enforce the homeland security mission" I think holding shares here is a long term games and I am holding on 3-5 years view. I not advising anyone to buys these shares I am simply trying to offer a different view but at the end of the day please do your research and don't let others cloud your judgement. | adred
14/10/2016 21:35 | It needs to be a 'biggie' flash, there are too many invested here who have seen/heard it all before from CEOs of AIM companies who are very good at talking the talk and can't walk the walk. For my part I've had enough of the "WOW" posts on the various Twitter feeds - it's time to deliver imo. | doodlebug4
14/10/2016 18:02 | Due to this quiet period, I can't help feeling that when the next news arrives it'll be a 'biggie'. | flashheart |
