22/12/2016 20:27 | Faroe promptly updated its list of major shareholders - Dana has gone. It seems that Dana/KNOC benefited from the failure of Delek and Enquest to agree terms for a 20% sale of Kraken. From some of their voting, I'd say that Dana were uncomfortable holders of their shares in Faroe. So, Faroe has moved from exploration - monetisation to exploration - development, and has gained as a major shareholder, Delek, which has some history of supporting companies in development phases. It all seems to fit together nicely. More likely now that Faroe will hold onto its full 25% of the Pil block right through development. When Njord A is back and Pil is flowing, Faroe may be producing c.50kboe/d. I just hope they achieve that without any more dilutive share issues. I'd guess a full listing will come soon. | ed 123
22/12/2016 19:30 | Cheers, wasn't aware of their Ithaca holding, had a quick look at Delek's website & their ops seem mainly downstream - distribution & petrol stations - apart from lucking out in the eastern Med. Market seems pretty relaxed about their intentions. | thegreatgeraldo
22/12/2016 18:34 | Delek own 19% of Ithaca. Previously major shareholder in Matra. In both cases, they seem(ed) to be very supportive of management. No funny stuff (to my knowledge). | hashertu
22/12/2016 18:06 | Bit of a departure for Delek....... | thegreatgeraldo

22/12/2016 08:10 | Scarabeo 8 progressing well, coming up towards Kristiansund now, has speeded up to 8 knots! | rogerlin
21/12/2016 08:13 | Bergen to Hammerfest 1400 km as the crow flies. At 11.9 km/hr, about 5 days then or more as the Scarabeo isn't a crow. | rogerlin
20/12/2016 19:50 | Scarabeo-8 hasn't been doing any Explo drilling since summer, so anchored near Bergen sounds correct. Don't they use one of the big ones (KL Sandefjord?) for actual spudding? | wbodger
20/12/2016 19:36 | "It is self-propelling having a maximum speed up to 8 knots (15 km/h; 9.2 mph) and an average speed of 6.4 knots (11.9 km/h; 7.4 mph". Wbodger I think Scarabeo 8 is moving(from anchorage south of Bergen) under its own steam, marinetraffic says destination Hammerfest, can't see any tugs nearby, the ones previously mentioned are in Hammerfest. Perhaps they will take it out to Dazzler? | rogerlin
20/12/2016 19:20 | r, I see Goliat Eye is PL697, and they went for a Permit in September, but there is nothing in the Wellbore pages for Block 7122/10-1 (PL697), so I do think Scarabeo-8 will be going to Dazzler. Only 2 tugs so far, they'll need 4. Would they try to spud before Christmas? Probably not. hxxp://www.explorati | wbodger
20/12/2016 18:12 | r, I was going to nix your suggestion about Dazzler for Scarabeo 8 because I had not seen a Permit for anything in PL716, but now there certainly is a permit for it, under Wellbores, Block 7318/12-1. That also answers a question of which block they will drill: it will be block 12, the one to the east. The NPDID is 8082, which is very recent. This is a wild Wildcat, imo. Very wide range of outcomes, but low CoS. | wbodger
19/12/2016 11:05 | It is already $55+ | harry rags
19/12/2016 08:45 | ENI engaging tugs (KL Saltfjord, Skandi Iceman) to move the Scarabeo 8, will it go to Dazzler or to Goliat Eye? Also Statoil a tug for Scarabeo 5, presumably to remove it from Njord, has it done anything there over and above setting itself on fire? | rogerlin
16/12/2016 18:11 | Big dazzlerLooks like your prediction is coming true - well done | harry rags
16/12/2016 16:59 | I'm very confident that this is soon going to push a lot higher. | bigdazzler
14/12/2016 08:10 | Thanks for that explanation Wbodger. There is still PL 810 Katie in the middle of this area, we don't seem to have heard much about it lately but it would fit in even better now with the new interests. | rogerlin
13/12/2016 18:40 | rogerlin, you can't link to pages directly on NPD, they use some sort of java script program. (And it has at least one bug in it, often causing a script loop on my system. Bloody java script, often causes trouble.) 1/3-11 doesn't look like a great drill. Hard to reconcile the Wellbore page description with the Press Release about it - although probably explained by subsequent analysis. Oselvar is really baffling. It looks like a big footprint but never produced more than 1 million barrels for sale in any year. Never enough to justify a development. Compare it to Gyda which will end after 28 years in 2018, having produced nearly 300 mmboe. | wbodger
13/12/2016 16:00 | The result of the Ipswich drill and sidetrack doesn't seem all that straightforward, Wbodger, I don't think the 60m can be in continuity although it doesn't say so clearly as far as I can see. Sorry that link doesn't work fully, it's in the wellbore list at 1/3-11 | rogerlin
12/12/2016 18:41 | The FPM website now includes pages for the DONG assets. re Oselvar/Ipswich: NPD shows an undeveloped field Ipswich south of Oselvar (Licence PL274), drilled in 2008, also originally in PL274, now transferred into Faroe/CapeOmega's name from DONG. The Interactive map has been changed to put FPM's royal blue outline around Oselvar but not Ipswich, so Ipswich must have been transferred and relinquished at the same time. Ipswich does not have a page on FPM website. NPD Discovery Page logs Ipswich (Wellbore 1/3-11) as "Development is unlikely". Pity, really: the 2008 press release included this: "The well proved an oil column of at least 60 metres with reservoir properties comparable to the reservoir rocks in the “Oselvar” Elsewhere, for anyone curious, I see Atlantic Petroleum in its current form has been successful in having Iona stripped of operatorship of Orlando and Kells: hxxp://www.offshoree | wbodger
09/12/2016 16:26 | The panto season is upon us - plenty of openings. How many productions of Snow White are playing around the country? | thegreatgeraldo
09/12/2016 16:20 | NON OPEC meet in Vienna tomorrow. I wouldn't want to be short on Monday IMHO | harry rags
09/12/2016 16:19 | Ding DONG! "The net consideration payable at completion was approximately $26.7 million, down from the previously announced original consideration of US$70.2 million, reflecting both Economic Production from 1 January 2016, which has outperformed previous expectations and other working capital adjustments." | thegreatgeraldo |
