06/10/2015 13:33 | Humpback spudded 13th June. They anticipated 65 days. Now,in spite of problems and delays, quite a bit of time has elapsed.I just wonder whether they have any inkling at all of what the outcome will be. | imperial3
06/10/2015 13:27 | I'll be surprised if an RNS comes and the market hadn't already noticeably moved ahead. I'd think that's quite possible. Unfortunately, as we know both from prior history with FOGL drilling in the SA and from other situtations a move ahead may reflect something real, or it may well not. So as you say you really need to wait for the RNS to act. Peter | greyingsurfer
06/10/2015 13:22 | Discovery news in time for The Prime Minister to addesses the Tory Party Conference at 11.30am tomorrow. Lots of noises being made regarding the sovereignty of the Falklands, Royal Navy frigates in St Hellena and so a perefect time to annouce a major oil discovery at Humpback to the Tory faithful.....we know there's been equipment problems but Noble must be pretty sure by now what they have, a duster would have already been announced imho, and as Noble are drilling in British waters, with the UK Govt having major influence on any concessions on Noble's development plans for the North and South, I'm sure they're more than happy to facilitate her majesty's Govt, in annoucing another major Falklands discovery at this politically sensitive time......Discovery news imminent imho. Gla holders :-) | moneymunch
06/10/2015 13:18 | In the absence of news volume of share trades is low.Currently off investors radar. | imperial3

06/10/2015 12:02 | Exactly rob..and the more you can get at a low price, the quicker you can sell on a rise and in profit. I may also get some ARG for Reah.... Nick, regardless of the result, it will be hard to trade either way. The big boys and the auto-trading algorithms are too quick for us lowly punters to beat. I'm wondering if there could be geology problems rather than only equipment problems? I'd have thought if the rig equipment were the main problem, FIG would have pulled the plug on using that rig? They have too much too lose. Just a thought. | agnabeya
06/10/2015 11:57 | In the meantime all eyes are focussed on anticipation of Humpback news.A good positive outcome will be a game changer, and will be magnet for the media. | imperial3
06/10/2015 11:12 | I think loads of people will buy on dust tbh, the isobel follow-up is likely to attract a huge amount of buying imo... not least because FOGL could be the easy route for someone into the NFB... just buy FOGL and you have 40% of a huge discovery let alone the sealion bits.. | robpuguk
06/10/2015 11:05 | agna If it's a poor result, I won't be buying more. lol I'll add on a good result (within first few minutes if I'm sat here). A duster here means keeping hold for the other prospects but not adding, for me. Hump is the biggest prospect. The price at the moment almost seems to be sceptical of a positive result. | nick rubens
06/10/2015 10:50 | Lol they're cheap now, if we get confirmation of imminent discovery news. Gl :-) | moneymunch
06/10/2015 10:46 | Nick, I hope I'll be in a position to buy more if it's a poor result. Buy 'em when they're cheap rather than rising is my motto. Good luck with it. | agnabeya
06/10/2015 10:38 | The market seems to know when an RNS is about to come, so volumes and price will be a good indication. Whether the market knows what's in the RNS is not always clear. I would think with this well and size of company that insiders are ready to take positions should it leak that oil is there and that many risky punters will move in irrespective of whether they know for sure the outcome. Fear and Greed. I'll be surprised if an RNS comes and the market hadn't already noticeably moved ahead. I'm ready to buy more on a positive RNS. | nick rubens
06/10/2015 10:19 | Look at the tracks and timings on a decent marine tracking website and you will see the blackout was miles away from the Eirek Raude, the track and timings clearly show it passing at between 13 to 14 knots WITHOUT stopping. | ngms27
06/10/2015 09:47 | Under satellite blackout we don't know if it stopped or not, probably just a coincidence it was so close, but was skirting the ER the most direct route for its planned journey??? Ps Discovery news tomorrow imho, if no news from Noble this afternoon. Gl :-) | moneymunch
06/10/2015 09:31 | The Cap Felix sailed close enough to see the Eirik Raude whilst under satellite coverage BUT didn't stop, so lets put that one to bed | ngms27
06/10/2015 09:20 | Adg....yes, the waiting is dragging the crazies out of the woodwork. :) I could never spread bet, it's far too risky IMHO. I've got 25% in a trading account, the rest in ISA stocks....all in with Fogl. If we start to get a spike, it's still my plan to sell my trading shares. I'm not terribly confident because of the time it's taking. The horrendous problems slowing things down makes me think we may have to wait for next week for an RNS. Only imho, of course. I will probably be proven wrong and we could get news today...lol. :) I read iii sometimes for links to articles etc, but as I don't post there, I can't filter the noise like on this board. Reading highly voted posts doesn't help either, as it doesn't always indicate quality posting. | agnabeya
06/10/2015 08:54 | Agna, I read iii but often skip posts as there is a lot of chatter and noise over there while people wait, so I usually cherry pick recommended posts so must have missed that. I am quietly optimistic about this drill, but reckon that the outcome will have positive and negative aspects as all targets wont come in, thus allowing the scumbags to latch on to any neutral or even mildly negative reports. Any positive, long term, will be a game changer for the FI and FOGL for those of us with a bit of foresight and actual paid for shareholdings. | adg
06/10/2015 08:46 | See page 15.....collection of test fluids.....gl ;-) | moneymunch
06/10/2015 08:18 | Not suggesting the Cap Felix stopped off at the ER, but it was off satellite for a few hours last night and it's course indicates that it sailed very close to it....the ER will be equipped with oil storage tanks to collect any oil coming to the surface during operations ( remember the rumour and the 50% spike......ie oil coming to the surface ) and therefore if those storage tanks were full or were becoming full, then the Cap Felix could have been used to empty them??? GLA ;-) | moneymunch
06/10/2015 07:20 | No duster news, ER still in position with the Sentinal and Pacific Leader and the Cap Felix crude oil tanker sailing away from the ER, not sure if it paid the ER a visit but it's very close, and so obviously saving discovery news for tomorrow, the last day of the Tory Party Conference, a big BLUE day ahead imho. GL ;-) | moneymunch
05/10/2015 19:52 | Noble up 5%!!!! and the Tory Party Conference is in full swing, last day Wednesday, so tomorrow would be a great for news of a major oil discovery in the Falkland Islands , to whip up the faithful.......GLA.. | moneymunch
05/10/2015 14:42 | What is the difference between you bunch of shorters and the Titanic orchestra?Nothing. | shakudo
05/10/2015 14:40 | Make that 3% plus...gla :-) | moneymunch |
