14/8/2015 10:38 | 14 days downtime though... | ngms27
14/8/2015 10:31 | News is due next week 65 day drill which started 60 days ago Would possibly sea spike in this in the afternoon | specul82
14/8/2015 10:10 | The RNS could be weeks away in the bull case as there are potentially something like 5 distinct targets. They would want to log each on on the way down and perhaps core as they wouldn't want a repeat of Isobel and be unable to log. However I suspect they have logged and interpreted at least one target reservoir. | ngms27
14/8/2015 09:54 | I read it as they've found hydrocarbons - but gas/condensate/oil he doesn't know. I read it as rumour! Maybe he knows what s/he's talking about, maybe not, maybe it's attempted manipulation maybe not. Either way we don't know. Best to wait for an RNS! | greyingsurfer
14/8/2015 08:24 | I read it like the usual Borgo nonsense. It could mean anything at all. It can mean whatever you want it to mean, hence the diverse interpretations. Whatever happens, someone will make the facts fit a convuluted version of whatever he said. I love crosswords, and sometimes cheat with a thesaurus. It's amazing how many words have the same number of letters yet mean different things. That's our Borgo. :) | agnabeya
14/8/2015 04:39 | I read it as they've found hydrocarbons - but gas/condensate/oil he doesn't know. To me Isobel was rather better than a technical success - Darwin was more of the latter - though since proved better than originally thought . | ohisay
14/8/2015 04:09 | To decipher borgo's comments on III Pete's brother brings home the bacon = RKH's brother FOGL has just got net pay. Technical success is great but you need bacon in your BLT = Its all well and good hitting oil and sands and claiming technical success (Isobel) but you need net pay to be a real success. What is being suggested is Isobel was a technical success as they could not claim net pay, but Humpback is a real success which will leave RKH/PMO green with envy as FOGL can claim net pay figures from this well. As ever, borgo has been right and also very wrong, so it could be just a ramp to sell before actual results.......... Good luck. | pro_s2009
14/8/2015 02:12 | Very positive for Noble. | ohisay
13/8/2015 21:06 | I'm told there's no extension thus far. | the black spanner
13/8/2015 17:13 | Efagie - as Dorothy Parker once said - "I've never been a millionaire. But I just know I'd be darling at it!" I'm practicing slowly though....;) | agnabeya
13/8/2015 17:00 | What will happen to FOGL if PMO abandons plans for Sea Lion ? | buywell3
13/8/2015 16:50 | agna, with all those handbags i thought you are a millionair:) regards fogl, do they have anyone on board the rig, noble will as operator.. | efagie
13/8/2015 16:36 | efagie - tbh I've stopped clue hunting as of old. I'll wait for the RNS. :) I'd love to think they'd hit oil - but neither volume nor price says that right now. True - Noble are perhaps running a tight shop - but I still think something would have leaked via FOGL to the ones who are really in the 'know' in the city. I think I'm cynical about expectations after all the DES debacle. When I called the PR company to complain about the news leaking to the Sun newspaper before anyone else - he told me to sell. Some guy - huh? It's a well known fact that this time next year we'll all be millionaires! :D That keeps me going for now. | agnabeya
13/8/2015 16:30 | agna, given how tight lipped they've been, i would look toward noble before fogl for indicators and maybe some possible clues.. | efagie
13/8/2015 16:29 | Amen to that! | tongosti
13/8/2015 16:20 | This is holding up better than most as a none OIL and none GAS producer That should tell you something | buywell3
13/8/2015 16:17 | Wishful thinking pal. Hope you're right but I'd stop reading too much into certain things and wait for the RNS to confirm things instead. Good luck all. | tongosti
13/8/2015 15:46 | Maybe it's a technical discovery at Humpback, just like Isobel, and they haven't been able to get to TD or log the well. | whoppy
13/8/2015 14:04 | Ah, the rig has a further 8 well option slots. Thanks. | whoppy
13/8/2015 14:00 | think its being seen in the wrong way, the original option was to some 8 wells on top of this contract, basically a year, now due to a contract cancelation that option has been extended. imo. for whats worth. We can take it or leave it depending on these drilling results. The good sign is too them wanting the rig working so should reduce the costs somewhat.. | efagie
13/8/2015 13:59 | As for having struck oil - meh - the volume doesn't seem to say so - and the city always knows before us. Usually. | agnabeya
13/8/2015 13:57 | Whoppy - I think if the options had been extended, we would have had an RNS before it appeared on the Ocean Rig site. | agnabeya
13/8/2015 13:55 | whoppy, that length of options has always been there - nothing new mate | robpuguk
13/8/2015 13:52 | Blue = contract, Green = option..I think!....I't's a 2 year extension if so. Drill a lot of wells in that time. I had heard that the rig owners would be delighted if the rig stayed down in the South Atlantic. | whoppy
13/8/2015 13:39 | Whoppy - these options - do we know 100% they are for the FI? Not options for some other drill? If so - whoopie! edit 13:45 If you read the last post now on the other forum - apparently the green coulr only indicates the rig's availability - not that the option has been extended. | agnabeya |
