|a1samu: So Bramson has gone after a small uplift in the share price.
The progress will continue without him and it just shows what a short time horizon he had, when if he stayed on much longer, there is still massive potential to increase values substantially all round.|
|petersinthemarket: Recent changes mean that ctf holders will need to look carefully at charging structures but what are the prospects for fcam? Surely, many will stay invested and fcam's income will increase, along with its share price. Other opinions welcomed.|
Hope someone can help. I am interested in buying shares in this company.
As I understand it, FCAM has 3 strategic partners: Millenium BCP, Achmea and Friends Life.
Can anyone explain what the terms Strategic Partner means.
Also my understanding is that Friends Life have not committed for FCAM to continue managing its Funds.
When does this contract between Friends Life and FCAM expire.
I also understand FCAM is the biggest Strategic Partner, so what effect would it have on the Share Price. Is it in the price already?
|fangorn2: Amazing how a quiet board often translates onto a healthy share price rise..Siga continue their endless stake building(Mostly via Tror's it seems)..
Anyone getting tempted to lighten their positions?|
|a1samu: Bramson keeps on buying the shares each day and the price keeps on falling.
How good is this?
What does Blackstone know that Bramson does not know for being able to short the share price, despite the purchases of Bramson? All is amazingly weird!
Are all the city investors running for the doors in disbelief of an "american" highjacking their cosy long standing arrangements? It is at least known that Aviva, one city investor is backing Bramson to the tilt.
If Bramson is attempting to shake out the 70000 small shareholder, it will take him a long time to do, at the rate of his purchases! Why not make an offer to the small shareholders, to get them out of the way?
When will Bramson call in one of the american wizzkids to start to add serious shareholder value?|
|a1samu: Before this returns to 200p, it will first visit 50p.
ii called this a Bear on the 14 April 2011 with a target price of 69p.
The interims are due sometime late August 2011, so there is plenty time for this share price to girate around the current levels and test out previous lows.
I am waiting for the 50p, before investing and then I hope it will rebound into the 200p range over a period of time.|
|pjj71: Time to sell:
IMO, its a sell sell sitn here..
Sherborne Wins, What happens 1)those who supported the current board (and whoses assets account for alot of AUM) are unlikely to renew management contracts and there will be huge outflows -not good 2) Consultants will put company on watchlist -AUM, will decrease and new assets will be difficult to attract - not good
Sherborne Loses, What happens: they will most likely sell their stock which they bought at 59p odd. even if the share price collapses 30% they will have still made 10% - not bad for a few months..|
|enami: Yes they did exist.

Basically before the Resolution takeover Friends Provident owned 52% of FCAM. They demerged the stake and we ended up with 1 FCAM share for every 10 FP. Shares.
|the jackel: Well readers of this board will know I have always been a believer in this share but even I didn't expect what happened today! Biggest share price jump in FCAM since 2001!!!! What's even better is that the shorters will have to buy back!!!!! lol Another jump up for the SP!
Also Lab305 I think in the 70's is below value for FCAM. It has a net asset value of around 120p so I'm hoping for more.|
|lab305: Hang on Salpara111 let's not get too pessimistic here. The dividend was very nearly covered by profit last year ,and this year and next profit is predicted to rise ....
Earnings Est 2010 2011
Avg. Estimate 6.77 8.18
Low Estimate 6.25 7.6
High Estimate 7.4 9.5
No. of Analysts 9 8
So why cut the dividend? As I keep saying it is not the dividend that is too high but the share price that is miles too low. A fair price would be around 74p. There is always in situations like this the tendancy to think that because the share price is so low something must be wrong. Unfortunately this worry takes hold amongst weaker holders and they sell. Negativity feeds on negativity. The biggest mystery to me is why this company has not been snapped up but the ongoing weakness still in all the financial sector has all but killed M&A activity. It is refreshing that this company is still active as the Thames River deal proves. Perhaps they should increase the dividend [as long as it is covered], and that really would wake up the sceptics and doomsters!!|
