LBO - the figures are very compelling, not long to wait now for interim's so we can see whats really happening.

Taking the the £2.6m exceptionals out last year and adding in the £1.5m profit last year means they have left themselves plenty of room.

LBO - N+1 Singer are both NA and broker to XPS and must surely have the inside line to Expansys, if those projections are correct a corner has certainly been turned and we can look forward to the coming years with excitement.

Graham - Its a valid point, perhaps he has other plans. Interims are out within a month so we'll get a better picture of progress shortly.

LBO - thanks for the link.

Graham - A good read through the past 3/4 years rns's will give you a good feel for whats happened here.

Essentially Expansys group has undergone significant changes in recent years in order to reposition itself and also cut costs, its by no means out of the woods but it would seem the worst is behind it for now.

Revs dropped from 108m to 93m last FY results, interestingly if Expansys were to replicate last years which were rather poor and you actually strip out exceptional items (& impairment/amortisation) associated with restructuring FY results would have shown a Profit before tax of £1,439,000.

The link above from LBO forecasts revs of £112M this year and £123M the year after, so as long as XPS don't throw in any ridiculous exceptional restructuring costs I believe this could rerate significantly.

Expansys has no debt and circa £3.3M cash in the bank. Effectively valuing the company at £2.5M.

Are there any long term holders on this thread who can fill me in on the history ? It looks dirt cheap. However, has not the great Peter Jones lost £25m on his stake ? Has there been press comment on this ? What really caused the catastrophic share price collapse ? one set of results or accumulation of trading news ? It still has cash yet is valued as if going bust ?

Would not be surprised if a opportunistic bid materialised

DSNS and PJ media alone making over £4m pa which on a conservative x5 would value them at £20m or over 1.5p per share

You back in 29howard? Noted the 18mil buy though LSE shows a reversal on that trade & replaced by a buy of 1.8mil instead.....

Something is happening here, not the usual small buying that is moving this higher, might be a rns coming.
