Yes, that was my thinking. I think the original plan was Excalibur, hence the name EXC, but at some stage they acquired the dodgy leather dealer at initial float. Leather is a dying trade imho, but Excalibur lookss very interesting under the young and entrepeneurial leadership if the MD.

Reading the recent release they could be left with a rather nice and hopefully profitable business in Excalibur. May be worth buying a few at .2 to see what they come up with.

No, I bought some on 3 April - managed to get 656,720 at a nice low price. Only a small investment, but a reasonable holding. Looks like there needs to be some sellers to get hold of those sort of volumes. Not worth buying less than .5m in my opinion.

Went to purchase a 100K but they are only allowing 75K. I did not see them take that much stock on at a low price.

Yes, looking better. I think once last year's dreadful results are out of the way everyone will be able to concentrate on the better Excalibur business and its exciting growth prospects.

... a pleasant and unexpected rise .... where did that come from? .... Surely not a £34 investment!

I think that is from a while back, but Excalibur has a young dynamic MD and has good prospects. Never quite sure why they pushed the leather business into EXC in the first place as it didn't fit with Excalibur. We are now back to where this all started off and Excalibur should have good prospects, particularly at a £0.5m market cap.

From the last results

During the year under review the Group had two trading subsidiaries, Excalibur
Ventures Limited ("Excalibur") and David Conrad (International) Limited ("DCI").

Excalibur achieved turnover for the year of #8,436,000 (#7,837,000 for the
period ended 31 December 2004). Excalibur has continued its excellent start to
trading achieved during 2004, and the Board are pleased with its continued
progress during 2005.

Excalibur opened an office in the United States during 2005 with a view to
establishing new business relationships and increasing its customer base. It is
also in a preliminary stage of expanding its customer base in Europe.

We now believe that Excalibur has a firm base to increase sales and profit over
the next few years.

Excalibur looks interesting......

The Board considers that the capital investment currently financing DCI would
be better utilised by expanding two of Excalibur's areas of business; firstly,
its specialised heavy equipment rental business; and secondly, an oil
infrastructure business that Excalibur has been developing since early 2007.Both are showing good short-term growth prospects and the directors are hopeful that they will make significant contributions to the Group in the future.

Particularly the new business area.

Bought a few today. The DCI closure is good news, I think. Focus now on the better EXCALIBUR business. Bought a few.

this is a long term recovery play , good for the very patient

In consideration to my previous posting 11 Jan 2007 as above, i can only think that this is getting that much closer to its recovery, and i there fore consider its time now to buy, even without any substantial news, the lack of shares in the mkt in a bull run would see its price move substantially on share shortage alone, and move even better on good news.It looks very over sold to me.

Target .2p
