05/6/2012 20:57 | Yes my post grecogeddon can opener will be tungsten lined...I shall be king! | moreforus
05/6/2012 20:54 | Precious metals - Tungsten shortage looming whilst everything else imploding - Austerity shares | tomboyb
05/6/2012 20:45 | Lol lufc5.... Is there even a stock market left? I've been learning how to open cans of dog food with my teeth as that will be an essential skill after the Eurogeddon hits town.... | moreforus
05/6/2012 20:13 | Anyone trying for a few cheap ones tomorrow? | lufc5
05/6/2012 13:00 | At the moment its capitalised at 690k - effectively they value their investments at close to zero with a high cash burn - net tangible asset value for the previous 12 months was almost 3p per share - so it will be interesting to see the depreciation and what cash remaining from Astaire - | tomboyb
05/6/2012 12:43 | The spread has always been scandalous on this one. Results due this month, I wonder what they will bring? | lr4850
01/6/2012 16:26 | Impossible to buy online without 80% premium to current touch price | double6
03/5/2012 21:26 | Well i held ASTR and took my 2p's worth - Reason? ASTR actually fell to 0.25p for delisting - How can u delist when ASTR had cash and should of been distributable to shareholders - Effectively in the end sense prevailed. EVOL - currently has a cap of 1.0 mill - It is still trading below the multiples BUT it has one factor that absolves most - the management. Look at 3dd - How much has gone into that? £1.7mill and they are still looking to strengthen their balance sheet with revenues at the halfway mark at 67k! I would never throw any more money at it - Its a waste ! Isn't Michael Jackson of SAGE a non exec here - | tomboyb
03/5/2012 18:28 | What it boils down to is how much they can waste before taking away in fees - etc etc They should as with ASTR return back capital to investors - They've destroyed so much that anything given back is a godsend - The only issue is how much will they milk it dry? If u look at it - Quite devastating erosion of value - ASTR was to be delisted but shareholder managed to persuade to get some value back - | tomboyb
03/5/2012 18:22 | Guys - is Astaire already consolidated in the accounts - ? If so - Then Net Assets as of last interims were almost £7mill gbp with £4.7mill of cash - Loan - £1.25mill liability £1mill investment take away £1.25mill - 500k 3DD inv + 500k another Plus - I reckon there will be around £5mill in Cash and assets - | tomboyb
03/5/2012 17:49 | A monkey could do a better job which leads me to speculate whether that was the idea. | tomboyb
03/5/2012 17:31 | The performance of these investments has been dire. Their value has shrunk since the last Interims. Need to also deduct the debts. Still think the value of the investments is greater than the market cap, but the two numbers are converging for the wrong reasons! | acquisitor
03/5/2012 13:53 | When u look at it - Assets alone are in excess of 2p a share with significant cash element - No idea of the depreciation but results next month. 1 mill sell at 0.25p - Value at these levels gives a market cap of 1.0mill - Looking at their investments clearly shows they haven't a brain for investing for shareholders - investment in 3dd alone covers half the cap. | tomboyb
03/5/2012 13:31 | EVOL - Assets including significant cash sum in xs of 2p - 0.35p mid and buys coming in. | tomboyb
01/5/2012 17:36 | Although I agree the B/S is probably over £1m, the historic figures need to be viewed with a huge pinch of salt as they included Astaire as a subsidiary. There is a bit of activity in the shares, so we can expect an announcement. | acquisitor
01/5/2012 12:44 | EVOL - Balance sheet assets far greater than 1mill cap - cash was over £4.5mill at sept so there will be depreciation - Investments over £10mill with 1mill liabilities - Asset value far greater than current sp With the current cap i'd expect some value here - 1.0mill | tomboyb
18/4/2012 12:22 | Someone having to pay 0.5 of only 44000 shares. Scandalous, but may also be a sign of something to come. | lr4850
02/4/2012 13:49 | They are very good at getting through other people's money so I believe there is a strong possibility they are getting through the Astaire and other cash with increased bonuses and pensions. No corporate activity for months and their web-site has not been updated since November last year. I fear the prospects are not good and so will be kissing goodbye to my money :-( | lr4850
28/3/2012 19:58 | If you look up the quoted investments that the company has made, they have all lost a great deal of value. A number are worthless. The company has lost 96% of its value in five years, which takes some doing. The reason I bought is because I think they have the cash from the Astaire transaction and some odds and ends which must be worth quite a bit more than the market cap. I am assuming they haven't squandered that! | acquisitor
25/3/2012 10:25 | Here's hoping you call this one right as well. I am speaking as one who accepted the shares instead of the cash--Mistake that was :-) Is the investment in the medical company still good? | natsbite
21/3/2012 17:12 | Just checked and results last year were 29/6/11. A long wait! | acquisitor
21/3/2012 17:10 | I bought a million shares at .35p last week when the price fell. At that price, the company is valued at £1m and on my worst case estimate, the assets are worth much more than that. I think some of their investments are going down the toilet and I hope they haven't squandered the cash. It could be a steal like Astaire was at .35p, when I bought a few million. Would love to know what the balance sheet looks like right now, and not sure when the results are. | acquisitor
21/3/2012 13:51 | When are the results due on this one? Wish now that I had accepted the cash as could of bought more shares - if i was inclined to do so :-(. No progress seen here whatsoever and company remains silent. | lr4850 |
