|jfinvestor: Imo this may have got a bit overdone at 2.5p but down here it looks pretty solid. Reflecting on the fundamentals may help a bit.
- Management say that the co. should be at breakeven by the end of the financial year i.e. pretty much now. Also I think we are cashflow positive.
- They took delivery of an XLS right at the start of the calendar year. According to the pilot ad someone referred to, they have taken delivery of "another" XLS (remember the two core fleet aircraft are CJ1s), which means this is incremental revenue to which the interim results statement did not refer.
- The card sale initiative is gathering momentum
- I believe EBJ is close to filling up another fractionally owned plane, which hopefully will be announced in the next month
- It would have been quite strange for the directors to buy immediately after an EGM if the business wasn't at least performing satisfactorily
- If we hit at least breakeven by y/e and 2007/08 benefits from greater card sales/fractional shares then we should be looking at several hundred thousand of profit. Put this on not too huge a multiple for a fast growth business and you end up with a share price significantly higher than today's|
|tailgunner2: still wurking unfortunately.......not in same job now....back in Killie in nice wee number thanx.......2 years to go......
Not overly convinced on this EBJ thingy.......seems a bit pump and dump in places......if it wasnt for this guy buying all these shares, id deffo say pump and dump.....but there's something in it,and the factr the company hasnt issued the usual "The company notices the recent increase in share price...etc etc" there could be something in it......
Bangkok on Tuesday............yipeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!......|
|smelgy: ....with the strong rise in the share price in the last week profit-taking is inevitable. The fundamentals however remain the same. This stock is dirt cheap and Rooney would not be building up a stake (almost daily) with his own money if it wern't.
I see 3p on the horizon in short order.|
|jfinvestor: Clearly the share price performance here has been awful, but talking to the co. suggests that a lot of this reflects the situation until the end of September (i.e. the interims) rather than current trading, where momentum is now building.
In the 12m leading to September EBJ spent £1m on chartering planes on the commercial market to cover incidence when two fractional owners both wanted a trip at the same time. Not only does EBJ now have a second plane of its own (delivered Aug '06 - just before the end of the period) but it has recently taken delivery of a plane it is managing for a third party owner that it will be able to use in lieu of a fleet aircraft when needed.
In addition, the company seems to be getting good traction with the cards and have sold several in the last two weeks alone. It is close to filling another plane with fractional owners and we hope to hear something on this in the next 6-8 weeks.
Given the disappointing performance so far, we need to see some evidence in the numbers that trading has picked up. Personally, I still think I'll wait until some substantive good news until getting some more, but imo there is more life in this co, than the share price suggests.|
|boite mobile: Peteh1 - No connection with the Co but I am in from the IPO. I my experience an e.mail, phone call, etc will yield very little other than a word or two of non committal general reassurance that all is well. Any more detailed information should probably be confined to the Board room, or if suitable for public consumption - an RNS. The company that runs its affairs in public by stating everything they intend on doing before they do it will not last long.
From day one the company said they would keep investors as informed as possible. By inference I suspect we will hear some news soon but whether a couple of weeks or a couple of months your guess is as good as mine.
What I think all us investors should appreciate especially with new businesses is that news will not be issued every week. Even "Overnight successes" have often taken 2 or 3 years nurturing first! Patience is the name of the game, ignore all the bull, and waite for actual news not hearsay.
The EBJ website has a registration facility so that the Co can keep you up to date with their progress but I suspect this is aimed more at potential customers than investors.
I reckon that in say two years time we will either have a company that is really motoring and such a low current share price will be a distant memory or..............
Just my opinion
|boite mobile: Just received a private e.mail which I thought worth posting here though I've removed the senders name as I cannot remember his BB posting name.
"Morning Boite - Can you honestly give me a reason why I should continue to hold this stock. Taking a substantial loss on these and no volume. Seems like a major blunder on my behalf, I normally do not invest in start-ups (ipo's). You may be thinking hard about the same problem, if no then sorry to bother you. Comments from an investor in the same stock would be appreciated. Do not wish to place any negative comments on the EBJ B.B."
For what its worth my reply was as follows:-
This stock will either do very well or disappear altogether. The business model looks very strong to me. The people at the top have plenty of experience with this type of business and they don't need to get many jets leased (or whatever they call it) to break even. I think it is 4 or 5 jets. Therefore if they do well I think they will take off if you will excuse the pun. If they don't make the sales they will simply run out of money after 3 years or whenever and disappear. I don't know the latter will happen because of lack of effort and as you will see from the prospectus the top people are highly incentivised to produce the results.
The whole AIM market seems to be going through the "Sell in May and go Away" syndrome at present though my perspective may be a little coloured by the fact that most of my money is in Natural Resources AIMs stock which have seen a major correction in the last month or two. I do not therefore read anything sinister into the current low price. This is very early days for the company and as (Good) news is released we should see a healthy upward trend in the share price.
As for a good reason not too sell, I'm afraid you will have to come up with your own, I don't after all know your circumstances and therefore how appropriate a sell or hold would be.
If you were to ask if I am intending to hold or not, I would reply that I intend to hold because any loss at present is only a paper one unless I sell. I should be able to claim EIS tax relief on my investment if I hold for two years (?). I think this is going to come good and I certainly view this as a medium hold. Even though I could have cashed in and made a quick 100-200% profit day one I think this deserves a little more patience, which will be rewarded. I don't make any of my investments with a view to selling on day one of trading though occasionally I do sell a % to leave the balance in the portfolio at zero cost if I think the share has limited potential to show a decent profit. I didn't feel the need with this issue. I hope that gives you some help in deciding what to do with your own holding.
I will also post this onto the BB as I don't think a little "negative comment" as you put it does any harm, in fact quite the contrary. It's the needless pointless and uninformed statements which I think devalue any BB, not open discussion.
|bancodelsol: I notice there has been no postings for a while now. Has anyone got any updated information on EBJ’s operations? The share price seems to have been a little stagnant of late.|
|londonmetro: off topic pcm moving up now dyor and imho this little gem will get bigger and the share price in the furture will be much larger...|
