EBJ achieves its AIM of success as fractions add up

October 10, 2007:
Cambridge-based European Business Jets (EBJ) is reporting full order books and rapid expansion just 30 months after launching on London's AIM stock exchange. Graham Deary, ceo, says: "It was then just an idea but each of our aircraft are flying in excess of 100 hours a month so it has come on leaps and bounds."

There are plans to further expand the fractional fleet which currently offers three CJ1s and two CJ2s. EBJ also manages two XLSs and a CJ2 but Deary, who previously worked for NetJets in Europe and for Hawker, confirms EBJ's core business is fractional ownership. "The whole proposition is that five people can fly in their own private aircraft for a similar price to each of them paying club class on a scheduled aircraft."

Industry experts said that it was not just the super-rich turning their back on commercial airlines, but also the chief executives of companies across Britain. Seven customers at Air Partner, the private jet charter firm, have bought their own aircraft this year.

David Savile, Air Partner chief executive, said: "If I told you the names you wouldn't recognise them. None of the seven feature on the Sunday Times Rich List. It is the next level down. Growth in this market at the moment is simply phenomenal."

Mr Savile attributed the sharp rise in the number of orders for private jets to the preference for face-to-face business meetings and growing frustration with long-haul scheduled services.

He added that as customers get more used to hiring private jets from firms such as Air Partner or NetJets, the natural step is for them to buy one. One of the cheapest on the market, the six-seater Cessna Citation Mustang, costs £1.3 million.

Which is two reasons why the likes of EBJ with fractional ownership will do so well in the future!!

The rich are getting richer, and will not put up with waiting to board planes, unlike us lesser mortals. This company is very much undervalued, hence the various stake builders.

European Business Jets Rejects Takeover Approaches

Talk of take-overs has brought some con-men out of the woodwork. I know two other shareholders who have been approached by a US based "Broker" (I use the term loosely) saying that they had a client interested in the co & willing to pay a huge premium over current share price One shareholder said they were talking in terms of £3 a share. Clearly highly suspect if not an outright scam of some sort and to be avoided like the plague I recon. They probably want you to assign your shares to them and then once they have the shares are you likely to see any money? - I don't think so.

I cannot say for certain that this is a con but if something sounds to good to be true it usually is. I know I wont be accepting their pony.

Cambridge at heart of global business aviation rise

In the last few years, the business aviation industry has boomed and the pace of expansion shows no signs of abating.

A number of significant factors and events have altered people's perceptions of business aviation and industry guru Honeywell predicts that more than 12,000 new corporate jets will be bought by operators in the next nine years at a cost of $195 billion to cover both fleet replacement and expansion. That follows a near-26 per cent surge in new jet purchases last year.

But not everyone has the need or the finances for their very own aircraft, and as a result fractional ownership is becoming an increasingly popular and viable option – a means of enabling corporate travellers to select the right aircraft to suit their requirements in both range and passenger capacity.

Strong demand is being seen in Asia, Africa and the Middle East – as well as Europe and the US – and a Cambridge company is right at the heart of this exciting and massively growing market

By far the most important feature of these results was the cash flow. Although the group was free cash flow negative for the year as a whole it was actually positive to the tune of £250k in the second half. With trading having got considerably stronger since the end of the period under report I think we can look forward to really meaningful cash generation over the coming year. Also, when compared to the tone of the interim statement it's clear how far this company has come over the last nine months and with a mkt cap of only £4.5m there should be excellent further upside as the fleet expands.

European Business Jets FY pretax loss narrows to 1.2 mln stg on increased sales

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - AIM-quoted private jet operator European
Business Jets PLC slightly narrowed its full-year pretax loss on turnover that
rose nearly seven times.
The company reported pre-tax loss for the period to end-March of 1.17 mln
stg compared to 1.39 mln stg last year as turnover surged to 4.28 mln stg from
608,255 stg.
European Business Jets said in line with the rapidly increasing demand for
private jets it has experienced a strong rise in new customers and exploratory
enquiries.
The group said looking forward to 2008-2009, it believes it has a foundation
for sustained growth and revenue generation.
Chairman Brian Moritz said the company looks to the future with increasing
confidence as card sales continue to contribute positively to cash flow,
fractional sales accelerate and the purchase of new aircraft.

Worrying that in such a "buoyant" market EBJ is still losing money

Air Partner Plc (AIP LN) rose 37.5 pence, or 3.2 percent, to 1,225. The company, which charters aircraft for Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, said it expects to report that full-year pretax profit rose 50 percent because of a ``buoyant'' market for private jet travel.
