03/7/2006 19:17 | They will have to up their stakes in CEG and Dalian at market price. They have already benefitted from large price increases since EPE`s original investments. It`s too late to buy more now, there`s no benefit. They would be better finding other Chinese colleges to bring to Ofex. | tyranosaurus
03/7/2006 11:37 | "Mindful of being a small company and the costs of our listing, the directors are looking at the possibility of raising additional funds to increase our stakes in DBI or CEG, or both, or making an acquisition to give us a more meaningful size, which would make more use of the Company's AiM listing. We will keep shareholders informed as things progress." China Education Group comes to AIM this year is this how the directors are going to increase epe market cap and make better use of epes listing by disposing of Education 2000 and reversing ceg into epe? | genesisofthedaleks
03/7/2006 08:31 | Cant see this dropping very much when it comes back if it does I will be in for more as the directors announcement they are seeking ways to up the share price to reflect a more realistic value means medium term this is going up not down.No doubt London Asia will take out any slack as the directors will not want this heading any further South. | genesisofthedaleks
01/7/2006 12:52 | But the PR aspect of it all ain't too good. If they just wanted to be an educational investment company then why didn't they just concentrate on that before? Present situation makes the management look amateurish. With a market cap of less than £2m then management expences are going to be quite proportionally high - especially if they actually visit China!. Someone else mentioned that the investments they've got are fairly illiquid so there will usually be a significant discount on EPE's mkt cap in relation to NAV of holdings. Was a former holder of this (bought before the 1 for 5 consolidation). Sold out at a reasonable profit earlier this year. I liked the rationale behind the company but they have seemed to have failed to take advantage of their 'vision'. However, wWas still monitoring to see if worthwhile to buy back in but after they can't even manage to file accounts in time then I would never feel compfortable buying in again. Recent events have given me the impression that they're the sort of company that aren't bothered about PI's. | don muang
01/7/2006 11:20 | not too sure they will be that bothered Don. They now have two major chinese investments under their belt and probably dont need the language businesses as much now. But the UK language business cost them very little anyway after the cash in bank was accounted for | gagner2006
01/7/2006 11:16 | well it's made them look exactly the opposite..... if you take on a 'job' then at least do it as best and professionally as possible. | don muang
01/7/2006 11:14 | they never wanted the UK language business to be other than a flag waving asset to make them look serious for the chinese target aquisitions... imho | gagner2006
01/7/2006 11:10 | Considering I emailed them about Management International website still displaying prices up to 31 December 2003, and never got a reply, I would not assume anything. | tyranosaurus
01/7/2006 05:13 | Painting .... thanks .... given EPE's record so far then perhaps end of next week is a tad optimistic for EPE. | don muang
01/7/2006 02:25 | Per their announcement, the results have to be audited and the accounts printed and posted before the suspension is listed, so wouldn't expect any action before end of next week. | painting
30/6/2006 21:12 | Perhaps 'Psychobiologic' could 'promote' EPE. | don muang
30/6/2006 21:04 | So what causes a stock to quickly appreciate in value? Fundamentals? News? Management? Well yes, to a degree. But what REALLY moves a stock price northward that you just purchased? Answer: A Huge volume of buyers having been directed to the emergence of that stock by a qualified service which has a reputation for doing so. THIS service does: | marelon
30/6/2006 20:22 | And I assume the shares are still suspended as no regulatory notice has been issued to say they're trading again. Any financial 'expert' out there know if the results have to be signed-ff (audited) before EPE can be unsuspended? | don muang
30/6/2006 19:42 | The Results are Unaudited. The investments in CEG and Dalian are good but the rest of the business seems to be a dead loss. Until these investments pay a dividend EPE will continue to make losses. | tyranosaurus
30/6/2006 15:44 | Well if they wanted to boost the company size to make themselves more financially viable then they should have done so before. Basically I think they've now 'missed the boat' in their particular field (or should it be classroom). They had a 'good idea' before too many other companies joined the bandwagon - but they simply did not follow thru properly. Having an annual loss of equivalent to one third of the total market cap of the company in this sort of 'sector' is utterly .................. | don muang
30/6/2006 15:18 | LOL.! So they suspend the shares because of no results and then a couple of hours later they appear by magic.!! Good luck at convincing the market on a higher market cap...chukle chukle!! | rbonnier
30/6/2006 15:02 | Edit - looked further than the end of my nose. | james 2
30/6/2006 14:38 | London Asia Capital Shares will go down as well as they own 10% of this. Same directors aswell so if theres been a c@ck up here or somethings not right London Asia shares will tank..Have a nice day.! | genesisofthedaleks
30/6/2006 14:26 | (unfortunately you can't sell the shares if they're suspended). just speculating .... but perhaps they were having difficulty getting the number crunchers (old and new lots) signing off the numbers. even if they re-emerge as a going concern then this'll cost them some extra unbudgeted dosh to get out of. So if trading does re-start then expect share price to be lower than at time of suspension. | don muang
30/6/2006 13:23 | They may not get a chance to sell if theres something wrong with the accounts this could be the end which would explain the presence of the seller here for months on end.His persistent selling is now starting to make sense. | genesisofthedaleks
30/6/2006 13:11 | Incompetence of the directors. Surely the accounts of this tinpot outfit are not that difficult. There must be some disagreement with the new auditors over the treatment of something. We will wait 10 days and see what happens. I can see a few disgruntled shareholders losing confidence and selling. They may include me. | tyranosaurus
30/6/2006 12:27 | the end, a new beginning, or just a hiccup? (Europasia shares suspended due to delay in publishing accounts) | don muang
30/6/2006 12:22 | Errrrrrr Thats not quite what I had in mind...lol.! | genesisofthedaleks
30/6/2006 08:42 | ps I will try and find out whats happened theyve had 6 months to prepare their statement and we are on the very last day so if they are planning an after the bell rns hoping that no one will take much notice as its the weekend I can only presume they havnt got anything good to tell the market in which case I will be dumping the 30k bought last week before the bell! | genesisofthedaleks
30/6/2006 08:24 | They should of been out at 7 am someone better wake the directors up and advise them this will be suspended first thing monday if there are no results today as 30/06/2006 is the deadline. | genesisofthedaleks |
