Agreed no mention of residual hcs etc.One has to question whether there was any source, which if it were to be the case makes Drombeg look dead in the water. No pun intended. The shares will be Hit very hard today.

An unfair comment about ignoring Mole Valley, as it was said yesterday by the planning officer that Mole Valley had had 15 weeks to respond to the TMP. That was considerably more than the statutory minimum of 3 weeks.

Going forward, Europa consider the revisions their TMP, and SCC planning office recommends the new plan, and it is forwarded to Mole Valley for comment, who are allowed 3 further weeks to respond.

SCC did try to push it through, but can't now ignore Mole Valley District council.

It says there that drilling, testing and reinstatement of the site can only occur whilst the Holmwood bats are in hibernation, and operations finish before they start to forage.

You are also right that play was made by opponents today about SCC rushing through this planning meeting.

Yes, SCC did help Europa get this before the committee in August.

The reason being that Europa have already agreed that site clearance, tree felling, and drill-site preparation WILL start in the window from September to December.

This is according to their Ecological Plan.

Yes, you are right that the Ecological Plan has been delegated to the planning officer to decide, and will not be decided by the planning committee.

No I don't think they are playing games this time. It would be absolutely pointless. These are merely conditions to be approved. EOG is fully carried in any event.
IRT - there are only a couple of conditions that are outstanding that go before the committee the rest are delegated decisions to the planning officer.

I think you should also respect the fact that SCC actually helped EOG to get this before the committee in August much to the chagrin of DrillorDrop and the LHAG. The SCC have to take into account and answer to the concerns of those who have complained after all, but in the end they will give approval so if I were a resident in the area (there are not that many) I would be wanting to get the whole thing over and done with as quickly as possible.

The way the protestors (and Ruth at DrillorDrop) have behaved recently at Brockham is truly disgraceful and have set back their campaign significantly. They have lost a lot of respect in the community.

If half the tax revenue paid on oil production went directly to local rather than central government then these problems would be solved.

I think it's going to be Q2 2018 for drilling at the earliest. The Council are obviously playing games.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but the traffic management plan is just one of 21 conditions applied the planning inspectorate. Several biggies still to be approved.

Hardly a major problem CP - drilling only due in November - plenty of time and as these are only conditions to be approved they will struggle to delay it again.

Anyone know how long to reach target?

"On the western side of the South Porcupine Basin in FEL 2/14, Providence are drilling the 53/6-A exploration well. The well was spudded on 12 July 2017 and will target two prospects: a Paleocene prospect "Druid" and a Cretaceous fan prospect "Drombeg"

...
Europa has interest in four licences in the South Porcupine: In the East FEL 3/13 and FEL 1/17 both 100%; and in the West FEL 2/13 (100%) and LO 16/19 (30% following the Cairn farm-in A successful outcome to the Druid/Drombeg well has the potential to increase the geological chance of success on the combined 4.2 billion boe gross mean un-risked prospective resources (GMUPR) across the four Europa licences.

Drombeg is a Cretaceous Fan prospect at the same stratigraphic level (Albian) as the Beckett and Shaw fans 90 km to the east in Europa's FEL 3/13. Success at Drombeg will directly de-risk a combined 1 billion boe GMUPR in Beckett and Shaw and it may substantially de-risk the 428 million boe GMUPR Valanginian age Wilde fan also in FEL 3/13
