300p plus 30% premium = 390p - thee is also a possibility of a hostile counter bid by KAZ PLUS Suleiman Kerimov nearer 445p - I do not think that independent board will take a bid that seriously undervalues the company without fighting back....this share price movement is based on speculation and rumour mongering - wonder who made a packet shorting the stock today? Blackrock?

enrc has gearing of under 50%.
like most miners it has debts, but a huge asset base to support them.
net wassets over $11bn

there must be some scope for negotiation here.
there are a couple of weeks to go.
the first low ball offer will be rejected on behalf of the minority shareholders.

Sold out first thing this morning. Was feeling very foolish as I watched the price rise. Question now is: do I buy back in hoping for another bite of the cherry or do I move on. Downside possibly limited to c. 225p but what is the likely upside? 300p doesn't seem worth it.

Letter doesn't say what the offer is, just that it they are cheapskates. Another 2 weeks leeway too.

just been buying more kaz and enrc.
like an alcoholic, i was too ashamed to admit it.
but with a fellow traveller such as yourself i can come clean.

my reasoning is;
1.it will be very close to 300p.
2. KAZ is still great value. it will have a further non cash writedown but it will receive a pile of cash instead.

list in london.
raise a ton of money issuing new shares.
bribe the usual suspects in london to smooth the way.

drive the share price down, then buy back at a much lower price.
the crime of the century, and it is all legal.

its a bit odd - the price has spiked up a few times today looking like a positive leak. Kerimow selling wouldn't fill me with confidence though.

FWIW I have taken a small punt at 282 on a bid materialising. Guaranteed stop less in case nothing happens and bid called off our of hours.
